Genghis Khan
Does anyone remember the old Genghis Khan game on the Nintendo (NES)? It may be the greatest game of its kind.. In a time when other games consisted of Mario Brothers, and Zelda, here came the strategy rich game, which multiple people could play... I for one loved it.
There was a game like that on NES? Damn, I've been missing out.

Just go get it, whatever you are doing now, logoff, quit your job, go to a used game store and pick up a copy. I swear this game is amazing..... we used to play it for hours on end..
You got to pick Genghis Khan of course with the Mongols,
or Yoritomo in Japan
or Richard in Byzantine empire
or someone else that I cant remember.

I have played this. Terrific game, alot of strategy involved. Reminds me of the board game RISK in a way, except much more detailed. Definitely worth the $20 investment.
:D

I wonder if you can get it on ebay, or any of those auction sites... surely there is a used videogame site as well.

What year was this? Most likely before I was even born, and I don't even own a NES anymore... :(

I don't own one anymore either. i tried to buy one as a gift this Christmas from a local SLACKERS (used video game store) and they not only were out, but had a back order for the NES. I would guess 1989.

Awesome game- I've never played the NES version, but I've played the computer version of Genghis Khan 2 for the computer.
You can get it here:

Definately worth checking out. The same guy who made the Genghis Khan games also made Liberty or Death, and L'Empereur, which are also brilliant.

Genghis Khan was awesome I conquered the world with England. Nobunaga's Ambition and Romance of the Three Kingdoms where also on the original NES. Those games are more addictive than crack.

Anybody ever play Uncharted Waters: New Horizons? Another cool game, from the same company.
