well I got another one of those fancy dress thingies and I'm all out of ideas (and most of my money) so I thought "those fancy and cool NS'ers will save me and help me impress all the ladies" so here I am and there you are being asked the question "what should I come as on fancy dress and how would I make such a costume?"

That would be the greatest fancy dress ever.

An egg. And get a friend to dress up as a chicken, then make a big fuss about who comes first.
Alternatively, the 118 guys.

Friend of mine once managed to fashion a costume out of a pair of overalls, the top half of a mannequin and plastic barrel. He manged to fix it so that his lgs were in the overalls whilst the top half of his body was in the bin, and the mannequin filled the top half of the overalls. It looked like he was being carried in the barrel by another person..

Oh, and ideas? No particularly good ones, but:

*A cyborg (Use discarded components from some computer and small christmas-lights)
*A pirate or a vampire?

You can make a "t-tunic", which, when belted, is a fairly good representation of dress in medieval times.... make it very long and it's a dress, make it above the knee and belt it and it's a man's tunic.

VERY easy.

Or more elaborate.

Here's what you need:

Shower curtain (check the rings to make sure you can re-attach it)
Complimentary biscuits from a hotel
Flex from a mini-kettle
Bath mat
Tungsten tipped screws
Ketchup

Tie the shower curtain round your neck - it's a flap of skin.
Attach biscuits to cheeks - more flaky skin.
Flex = tail.
Bath mat - tie round your front.
Screws - sellotape them to your fingers. Claws.
Ketchup = blood.

Voila. You're a zombie.

An oreo cookie. White pants, white shirt, some string and either cardboard or styrofoam cut into circles and painted with the word OREO. Easy as pie... no cookies.

Number three is the best choice.

You could always hire a costume. That way you cen be whatever you want relatively cheaply...:)

Make yourself a fancy ID card that proves that you're actually a 5th columnist trying to subvert the local population and carry it around in one of those holders you can pin or clip on your shirt.

Like a speedbump. Red and white stripes and lie on the floor for a loong time. Try and trip people up who are walking too fast. That sort of thing.
