who here loves mullets? I know I do. this is the mullet thread, the one place to come to honor what is probably the "greatest" do ever to exist.

my favorite mullet you ask?......the jerry curl mullet
http://www.allaboutjazz.com/articles/miles_do_4.jpg

2 of the worst styles in history clash together in magnificent glory.

anyone have any great mullet stories, pics, whatever, post it here!

That's pretty offensive. You should learn to use the more politically correct term for the style - Hockey Hair.

Shlong is also acceptable.

I have a strict "10 foot pole" rule when it comes to mullets.

Wouldnt it be neat though if we had a smilie with a mullet? I'm sure someone on here has one.

The mullet is a classic. It's the only hairstyle with its own slogan.

Business up front. Party in the back.

I had a killer mullet when I was in high school.

Another acceptable term, my coworker just informed me, is the "business in the front, party in the rear" haircut.

No, mine actually was business up front. It was neat, had an off-centre part, and a bit of volume. But the back fell well past my shoulders. And with my lousy posture, it would often hang around both sides of my neck.

Hmmm...

That's wierd. That's how it started here in Los Angeles. Professional wrestlers infected with the mullet spread it through casual contact with the viewing public back in the early eighties. Strange that someone in Canada would get it that way. My understadning was that in Canada, hockey players spread the mullet to the public, not wrestlers.

On another note, I love threads like this. They allow me to, for a time, ignore my own short comings and point and laugh at others and say, "you think I'm bad? Look at that othr person," and that makes me feel good about me. :)

Hmmm... Also Canadian. I noticed your black fingernails. That woudl probably mean that you did not get it through casual contact with hockey players because people with painted fingernails hate sports. Also, hockey players have been abandoning the mullet for a few years now and you said this was a recent pic. How did you get your mullet?

Ahh Ha!!!! Often forgotten in the spread of mulletism is the critical role hairdressers play. Much like sex is to herpies, without the hairdresser the spread is impossible. It would stand to reason that if we exterminate all the hairdressers that we could eliminate the mullet in short order. Only the elimination of small pox in the 1970s would compare in terms of human accomplishment.

The mullet never quite died in Oshawa, Ontario. One of my employee's had a rather distinguished mullet. (He still has the mullet, he just doesn't work for me anymore.) Considering Oshawa's greatest musical contribution was Kim Mitchell, I guess it shouldn't be surprising.

Even without your modification, it's a dumb acronym.

National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing

First of all, those aren't stock cars. They haven't been stock cars since about 1970. And, it's redundant. Car Auto?

he influenced my dad to grow a mullet at one point, something I have yet to let either live down.

I'm sure anyone from CT will remember Dee Snider Radio...well, my father is Doc B. And Dee convinced my father to grow a mullet. It was a sad, sad time of his life.
