FAIRVIEW, Pa. -- A couple who took their 4-year-old daughter with them when they burglarized churches was jailed after being charged with one break-in, state police said.
Police planned to file charges in up to 15 other church burglaries today against James Lyle Isenhart, 37, and Kay Louise Isenhart, 35, of Millcreek Township, officials said.
The 4-year-old was placed in the custody of Erie County's Office of Children and Youth after her parents were arrested yesterday. The Isenharts remained jailed today after they were unable to post bond.
The two were having money problems and confessed to the break-ins after they were questioned about the crimes based on witness accounts and composite sketches, police said.
Police yesterday charged the couple in a burglary at Millcreek Community Church on either April 30 or May 1. It was not immediately clear if they had attorneys.
The string started in late April when someone broke into the New Beginnings Full Gospel Church in Fairview and the Hydetown Baptist Church near Titusville, Crawford County. The two have begun showing police where the burglaries occurred and what they did with items and money they stole, police said.

Ah yet another classic tale from my home state of PA. Kinda sad really. I can think of many other things to do with your kid besides this, but if that was the case, then i'd have no story to post.
