Has anyone played the game version of the book/radio series of the same name. there was an original produced in 1984, however there is one online provided by radio 4

if uve ever read the book, heard the radio play, seen the tv series or the movie, it is a fun game. it is texted based and u have to guide our hero thriugh the story line. takes a great deal of logic and patience .....

Yeah I've played that, several times. I came accross it a couple years back. Took me forever to get out of Arthur's bedroom. I just couldn't think to type "take pill".
EDIT: I never did finish it though. The Zaphod senario would never happen, I just kept getting the Ford one over and over again.

Yeah, I would lie down in front of the bulldozer, but then I couldn't get Ford to talk to the foreman. I'd take the towel and he'd leave, and when I said "what a bout my home" nothing would happen. I ended up just saying 'wait' about 10 times until Ford got fed up and talked to the guy.

It took me about a year of trying, but I successfully beat it all the way through one summer. I always managed to get to the spaceship OK, but I never managed to get the babelfish or the Atomic Vector Plotter, and so didn't manage to get past the Heart of Gold for 6 months... classic game though.

Amazing how easy it turns out to be to get that Plotter though. All you had to do was enjoy the poetry (or read the book, the poem is the same in both places)
