News quiz. I got 8 correct and missed the bonus question as well.

I got 6. Not too bad considering they're mostly US national stories.

Six. In my defence I'm British, so I generally only hear the American news that has great international importance.

I got 8. Some of the answers are logical though.

1 - guessed right
2 - unfortunately this is deemed to be international news by some news sources
3 - Saw a thread about this on NS, didn't actually bother reading it though.
4 - My mum's partner has a US tracker mortgage. I hear about about it whenever there is a threat that rates will go up.
5 - I knew both C and A had happened so it had to be D.
6 - Guessed wrong.
7 - Gussed correctly. I'd heard that a two American wives of a Candian were being deported and made the link there.
8 - Slovakia is an ex-soviet state. It's healthcare and education is therefore pretty damn good. Most ex-soviet states have 99% literacy rates.
9 - I remember a story about some people threatening to police the border themselves if the feds didn't.
10 - The person who gets this right needs to guess right.
Bonus - Damn, I almost went for that option. I just wasn't cynical enough to think he would be THAT full of BS.
