Is it not in March?

Read the thread. On this side of the lake, Mother's Day is today.

Why only American mothers?

Because, as has already been noted, Mother's Day is today in America (and Canada) but not in Europe.

That can't be it. I live in the Netherlands and it's mother's day here today.

As it should be obviously clear from the thread thusfar, there are many nations which appear to share today as Mother's Day. Perhaps it is only the UK that has it in March?

But your anti-Americanism has been noted.

Every day is mother's day.

1. Mother's day to go to work, 9-5
2. Mother's day to cook
3. Mother's day to clean
4. Mother's day to chauffeur
5. Mother's day to clean the pet tarantula's cage even though she hates spiders.
6. Mother's day to clean the litter boxes
7. Mother's day to wash the dishes
8. Mother's day to do the laundry
9. Mother's day to pay the bills
10. Mother's day to roust Dad out of his recliner to mow the lawn while she rakes, weeds, prunes, etc.

(I know, I know - Dads work hard, too - so we'll talk about that on Father's Day - get over it.)
