Somebody define spam for me (someone in the know, preferably). I just want to know for future's sake, as to not have any more threads "MOVED" by the mods.

Thank you

Your thread was moved to chat actually, not spam. And check the One Stop Rules Shop (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=416023), and the General Rules Sticky (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=410573)

As defined by the Austrlian government: What is spam?

Spam is the common term for electronic 'junk mail' – unwanted messages sent to a person's email account or mobile phone.

Spam now makes up more than 60 per cent of all email traffic, and its negative effects have become significant and far-reaching.

Billions of unwanted spam emails clog up the Internet, disrupt email delivery, reduce business productivity, raise Internet access fees, irritate recipients and erode people’s confidence in using email. Many spam messages also contain offensive or fraudulent material, and spam is often used to spread computer viruses.
