How many archivists frequent NS (roaming for nuggets)?

Simple enough query:

A thread came up a few times about the nature of certain posters and how they'd be classified - as Centurion, The Swarm, and the like .... and one of the stronger alignments i espouse would obviously be The Archivist.

Verdigroth pointed out that sometimes it isn't about digging in to argue just for arguments' sake, some times people just post a passing thought and move on to more pressing matters.
I think a huge amount of posters here are big on arguing - and usually i find that some very useful and oft-uncommon info can come out of it, worth understanding and quite often bringing up later for reference.
I often expect that other people do it, but i don't know anyone who, for example, specifically qualified themselves as "Archivists" on that site (Flamers, i think), so i was wondering if you considered yourself as such.

There's a second part to this thread, btw.

I occasionally act as an Archivist, though usually it's because I'm reminded of an interesting thread from a couple years ago and want to look it up, or because I can't remember what happened two years ago and need to find the old threads. Sometimes I trawl through old pages at random and look for interesting threads.

I personally find a need on occasion to draw from threads dearly departed, but the archives only hold so long
Some of the best ones went by the wayside and i haven't had luck repeating the finds on the net to resubstantiate the info, long since moved or unhosted.
A good case in point is the BND declaration against the WMD argument last year.
That facilitates, basically, that i archive a lot of text and thread shortcuts for possible use later on ... because, admittedly, a lot of the same thread natures pop up again and again - usually the least resolved types. :)

I usually do it when looking to thoroughly derail someone who's currently being an asshat.

Does the name "epsilon" come to mind? ;)

The sequel thread to this is ... how much of it has been useful, and do you have (a) particular favourite?

...well, the one I was thinking of also starts with an 'e'. It came in handy on a couple of occasions, and yes I do have a favourite, but I'll leave it at that...

Mostly 'cause I'm tired of being hauled into Moderation on bullshit.

Are you a repeat offender? Tilt that slack plane bruddah.
I must have missed the last few on you. I usually hit it, but not the past two days.

I've been dragged there (for no good reasons) three times in the last four weeks or so... four or five. Always by the same person.

Oh yeah, i read the few. Perhaps there was a trout-slapping incident that got outta hand? He had sights on The Nazz for a while too. *shrug*

Perhaps one might take into consideration how many "mod-induced forum vacations" that the centurion has taken over what period of time (obviously he's been around a smidge longer) as compared to yourself.
I witnessed two on his part, IIRC.
I'm kinda surprised i haven't gotten the switch just yet either *cringes*, that's why i started looking.
I also noted specific narks on there (not narcotics obviously - nark work?) for future reference.

I've actually been here a lot longer than my antagonist. He's just an attention-whore (hence his ludicrous postcount), and my original nation (which he helped into DEATdom oh so long ago now) predated his by somewhere in the vicinity of twelve to eighteen months.

Ah, my apologies then. He has been referred to as the "Saturn" of the Forums, so i figured one went with another. I suppose i could've looked harder.
I don't have any direct antagonists (hopin' hopin' fer Yarvolk) but i do have a few taggers.

So far, not too many people who consider themselves archivists, it would appear.
I found a cool function out about gmail the other day that really qualified my choice to use that bank specifically for archives. :)
