Well Bugger me.

Last time i made a thread about them they were last in the Pacific Division but look at them now after demolishing the Avalanche in 4 Games!!!!
4 FFFFFFING GAMES!
first time it has happened to the Av's i believe.

They now have a 'rest' until their opponents either Edmonton or San Jose is decided.

But seriously WTF!

I guess Megaloria was right.

It's a shame Hedstrom had to go back though. Kinda like Kjellberg in the 2003-2004 season. I think they should bring back Kariya... too bad Burke won't.

I voted other.

Let's face it you can call it what you want but they are fluking out on their asses. They got lucky with the Avs beating Dallas or we wouldn't have seen this thread. (I'm no Stars fan either.)

They won't win the cup. They'll fall just short again and then next season they will suck so bad it won't even be funny.

You don't like it? Well Duck you!

Speaking of Burke. Anyone else tired of his dirty looks?
I know he was born that way but i keep hoping someone jumps him in the press box and kicks the shit out of him.

He is a Fraken Franchise player dammit! No, they just didn't give Kariya an offer. They rather have Sergei Fedorov(Kariya was a much better leader anyways). I'm hoping for Edmonton basically because they're easier than San Jose is. I kind of like the way that the east seldom plays the west, because you can't judge them on the season series. And too Mr. omgit'safluke, I hardly think that 3 shutouts in a row counts as a fluke. The main thing about the 2002-03 then tanking in 2003-04 is that they traded away their captain. Also the other teams found out that "Hey the ducks are not a mickey mous organization anymore".Ducks-Sabres ducks in 5

As far as i know not a single game has been played this year on tv here, even play offs i would have been at work most days anyways but still.
I have NHL06 and ive looked at player rosters and a lot of interesting moves have taken place in the last 2 years thanks to the lock out.
Robitiale going back to the Kings to finish his career Federov shifting Kariya gone both Nediymiers(Sp) at the Ducks 2 years ago Scott was at New Jersey (right???) etc

The Ducks are ROLLING right now and I think they'll roll right to the Cup. Plus they're young, they have cap space to resign McDonald and Selanne, and they have two good goalies, so there's no reason to think they can't do this consistently for the next 4-5 years.

As for Kariya, he basically hosed the Ducks in 2003. Get this, the Ducks gave him a lowball offer after their Stanley Cup run in 02-03 (they offered $5 million, he was worth about $10). The Ducks TOLD Kariya that they were lowballing him so they would have enough money to sign Selanne who was also a free agent. Basically, they told Kariya, "We'll sign you for $5 mil and Selanne for $5 mil and take another run at the cup, rather than signing you for $10 mil and not having any more money." Well, Kariya basically gave the Ducks the finger and signed with the Avs for $1 million (along with Selanne) to win a Cup and then the Avs tanked when the whole team got injured (plus they didn't have a goalie).

Of course the Ducks blew it too by signing freakin Fedorov, but they're both gone now. I wouldn't mind having Kariya back, but he's not really a fan favorite in Anaheim after that little stunt. Fedorov can rot in Columbus.

The Ducks lucked out on a game of Rock, Scissors and Paper in the playoff schedule. The Stars would have wiped the floor with them, but they were paired off against the Avalanche that bitchslapped them out of the first round. Then the Ducks didn't have to worry about the Stars and killed the Avalanche.

Thats a lie!!!
The East doesn't rule!
The teams stink and it isn't as cool as the west!
All the East has is New Jerse,y the rest is laughable at best.

No, Kariya's on the Predators now. And look how far they got in the playoffs! HA!

I have to say, I think the Oilers match up much better against the Ducks than the Sharks do, so I think it'll be a good series. Pronger scares me. But the Ducks will win in 6, that's my prediction. And then it's off to the Cup finals against the 'Canes.

GO DUCKS!!

The mighty Ducks movie was in Minnesota. Minnesota rules, therefore the Mighty Ducks are #3 best team in the NHL. Wild, Stars, Ducks.

I'll just dump this.

Man Saturday 2 weeks ago was bloody awesome i was at the Rugby but before the game i met this Canadian couple, the guy was from Edmonton and the Gal from Calgary.:p
It was really cool to talk to them and we both were disappointed that they (Sky and ESPN) haven't been showing any NHL this year.
Edmonton were 3 up on the Ducks and he was naturally supporting the Oilers.
He mocked my supporting of the Stars, so i kept cheering for the Ducks.

I wished i'd got some contact details off of them.

Now i see Carolina is two up on the Oilers.
Came from behined to win game 1 and i am half watching a reply of game 2 and Carolina is up 5-0.
W00T!

Nothing Could Be Finer Than The Cup In Carolina!

Some have said Edmonton has been a powerhouse at home.
They better be because from what i just saw they'll get stomped in 4.
