Model's Blonde Moment
Updated: 13:31, Friday May 12, 2006

A supermodel fell out of a coach travelling at 50mph after mistaking an exit door for a toilet door.

It happened as Tatyana Simanava was returning to her seat from the WC.

Instead of opening the door to the passenger area she pulled open the emergency exit.

The 21-year-old blonde was pitched out onto a busy road in the middle of New York.

The driver reportedly spotted her falling out and pulled over.

Miraculously, Ms Simanava was not hit by any passing vehicles.

However, she was rushed to hospital with a suspected broken shoulder and wrist.

Fashion photographer Eric Striffler told the New York Post: "She's a great model... very attractive and sexy in front of the camera.

"I'm very sorry to hear this news. It puts her career on hold for a while, unfortunately."

Yikes!! I heard about this one yesterday. It made me cringe.

From time to time you hear about people stepping into open elevator shafts when the car isnt there, but the doors open. Are they that preoccupied?

Its a really, really hard way to learn to pay better attention. Its a mircacle she wasnt hurt worse by the fall and that no one ran her over. Just imagine if someone with her attention span was driving behind them, they would have run her right over.

In the long run, she'll likely get more attention than she ever would have being just another Russian model.

I'm noticing the article states they were travelling at 50 mph when she fell out?
I dont think the average person can comprehend what tumbling on the pavement at 50 mph is like.
She is freaking lucky.

The article doesnt mention it, but she must have gotten some serious road rash as well-There had to have been some skin shredded- You have to pay the pavement when you meet it that fast.

She is very fortunate.

I had a good friend who fell asleep while his wife was driving, and his door was not fully closed. He fell out at 60mph, hurt his head, was in a coma for weeks, and they thought he would never walk or talk again.

He since completed his MBA, owns his own small business, and has become an expert swordsman...;)
