Mum makes teacher 'laxative cookies'

A mother was arrested for allegedly helping her daughter and her friends make biscuits laced with a laxative for a teacher who had given one of the girls low marks.
The prank went wrong though when the targeted teacher didn't eat any but shared them among the daughter's seventh and eighth grade classmates.
Four children fell ill.
The mother Julie Hunt, 43, later appeared before a court in the state of Maine handcuffed and in prison garb.
She pleaded not guilty to assault charges, the Morning Sentinel reported on its website.
The court was told the biscuits had been left on the desk of the teacher, along with a note saying: "We made these cookies just for you, hope you enjoy them."

Actually, most of my students' mothers' food gives me gastro distress, but that's cuz the food around here ain't what my digestive system is used to. Hmm... here I thought they were giving me seal oil becaues they wanted me to have a "cultural experience," but perhaps it's just an extensive plot to ruin my day via toilet.

This is a glowing example for me to bring up whenever someone asks why I don't teach middle school.

That stupid woman should be charged with whatever applies, while thoes children should have known better at least they WERE children caught up in the moment of a prank. She on the other hand was an adult and should know better

I remember me and a few friends where thinking about doing the same to my electronics teacher, just lacing the brownies with weed.

One of the people that I work with is a chronic nose picker. In fact his whole family are chronic nose pickers. Every now and then his mother will make banana bread or something and he offers it around at work. I've never touched it. [where is the barf smilie?]

This is typical of the world we live in. I know of a teacher who was knocked out by a students father because she made the kid stay back after school to finish his homework so that he wouldn't fall behind the class. Teachers really can't win these days.

Reminds me of a stunt in an English class project one of my former classmates pulled off once. He baked a bunch of brownies, 'cept they were laced with what he referred to as "ginger", and had a strong, obvious smell.
