I'm going to put Room 101 itself into Room 101, thereby creating an infinitely recursive loop and causing some portion of reality to collapse in on itself.

i think the show was based on orwell, so this thread takes it lineage from both....

someone should take up the paul merton role, and come with witty resonses to the suggestions

So, in room 101, i'd put a humidifier
in room 102, i'd put a de-humidifier.
Then i'd do what i said in the above post and let 'em fight it out.

Perhaps, i would stick United States right wing commentators of all media and stuff them in room 101, and the left wing commentators in room 102, and let them at it under the same circumstances. Well, not all of them from either wing, but certainly from every angle of public influence.

I would also stick the apologists for all irrational/illogical policy stuffed in either room.

Not my worst fears, persay, so much as some of my worst irritants.
Room 102 had its relation explained to room 101 earlier, IIRC.

If you want fears, or at least unsettling and unsavory circumstances, throw in some caulrophobia and/or Anginophobia, and/or Hagiophobia, and/or (hmm perhaps a list here ...)

scopo looks like scope. So maybe that means fear of looking at stuff or being looked at.

Good!
Yeah, some "phobia"s also work well as "uncomfortability".
Scopo - people looking at me (funny, i'm a public entertainer sometimes)
demo - groups of people (i always feel stuck in the cattle movement)

Caulro - as in a caul or sheathing of the face - clowns
Angino - as in a tracheal disturbance - sore throat
Bromidrosi - fear of body odour ;) (more someone else's fear of me, but i sure as f*ck find the smell of certain other people insipid - my bro-in-law's feet, for example)
Cyprido - venereal disease (i suppose i could explain, but just punch up "syphilis results" w/pix. )
Topo - certain places
Hagio - saints and the "holy" (a strong dislike or lack of comfort with)

Damn, I should have got the Hagio one. The Hagia Sophia - the Church of Holy Wisdom.

Hmm... perhaps I won't do the image search... I don't want to have my mind filled with images of venereal disease just before I go into an exam.

Ya know, a teacher says it's a "helpful visual aid" to the material, but i really think it's about inflicting a permanent reflex upon someone's psyche - an etching of consequence.
Syphilis is particularly horrible in a lot of ways. I don't have it (i'm pretty sure) but i can sure as hell fear it. *nods emphatically*

Syphilis is particularly horrible in a lot of ways. I don't have it (i'm pretty sure) but i can sure as hell fear it. *nods emphatically*I have a good memory for forgeting disturbing images. I've been shown the most horrible images of dental decay when I was getting braces. All I remember is that the teeth weren't 100% okay. And I still don't brush my teeth regularly, and I still haven't ever had a filling. Yay me.

My memory is tied to my intellect in that its sporadic and dangerously inconsistent - but a few things are still up there. And the syphilis image is definitely one of them.
Actually, my memory's a little peculiar. If i go to the mirror, for example, to pull off a moustache hair that's shooting off at an angle, as soon as i see that and start doing something about it, my memory will flash immediately back to where my thoughts were (if they weren't finished the first time) the last time i'd been in the same visual scenario. I pick right up where i left off.
I've hoped to use that to my advantage, but it doesn't work unless i carry a mirror around with me ;)

As for your teeth - watch out. My wisdom teeth impacted and forced a few out of alignment - they made an angular impact that was hard for me to fix, and a cavity got between the teeth at the gumline, which caused one of those infections you hear about (upper jaw right) - when the infection impresses the nerve, it's particularly unpleasant - not the dull ache you can used to over time nor the sharp ache that occurs from inhaling cold air quickly over one. A sharp and stabbing pain that goes right up along the nerves - behind the eye, along the temples, up alongside the nose, to the hinge of the jaw. Sweat pours out, and after a while, you lose focus of most things except the lack of comfort. But i got it drilled out, yay!
