never mind i find I hav to now connect driectly to the server rather just irc.esper.net i have to do ->

chocobo.esper.net
cosmos.esper.net
bean.esper.net
legend.esper.net
neskaya.esper.net

Didn't even know NS had an IRC thingy. Is it popular? How can I get to it?

download that brogram and then install it ( u dont have to register it and pay, its really free ) then put your nick and and then say ok and then in the status window type in /server cosmos.esper.net -j #nationstates_general

(to join other channels, after u join type /j #nationstates or /j #internationalincidents )

if cosmos.esper.net doesnt work just try the others

There's also #NationStates_General among a couple of others. Much fun.
