Oooh. Another scary article about the bird flu. I better prepare for the apocalypse. Pfft. Nah! I really got more serious things to worry about!
I read the article - and honestly, except for death estimates and the good ol' "buy batteries" advices (like the flu's gonna interrupt the grid!) it's full of exaggerations.
Scaring the public is not working to its benefit.

two weeks back I saw an article where bird flu was found in New Jersey. I wanted to post it on here to scare the hell out of all the americans. The problem was that it wasn't the Hn51 strand.

Bird flu itself is found everywhere. I don't think it's ever in any form mutated to humans. Yet somehow they're all pissing themselves saying this one will. It's absurd.
Donald Rumsfeld has stock in the company that makes tamiflu. Buying into the fear and the hype of a global pandemic is just making his wallet fat. Anyone see V for Vendetta?

Bird flu has mutated to a form that can be transferred human to human, but never before being transmitted bird to swine. If no pigs ever get the bird flu, humans will be in no danger.
