Sharing the Blame?

I've thought about this a few times. If a crime is commited by multiple perpertrators, such as four people robbing a bank, should the punishment be equally divided amongst them? Or should they each get the punishment as indiviuals?

You mean like take a prison sentence and divide it amongst the perpetrators?

That might be problematic; for example, if 100 men were to gang-rape a woman and the sentence would normally be 10 years in jail, they are all going to only serve about 37 days in jail each.

Dividing the sentence would pretty much enable criminals to get a free pass if they could round up enough accomplices...I'm sure Enron would've been able to round up enough willing criminals to rip off the company big time and recieve absolutely no punishment.

Tacos are unhygienic by definition.

They should be punished as individuals. Each was perfectly capable of not robbing the bank, or whatever it was. Admittedly, if one of them murdered the teller, that one should get a proportionally longer sentence, but still.
