anyone like them? Their new album is good but is basically one big song with the same lyrics repeated over and over again, in addition to the guitar riffs and solos. Still i like it for the shrediness.

yeah, liked em back when they were still called DragonHeart... probably before they were signed on mp3.com (before it went all shit like it is today)
anyway, got two albums of theirs. Valley Of The Damned, obviously, and then another one i can't rememeber now. whats the new album?

Dragonforce is the distilled essence of awesome, brought to a boil.
I've noticed that they're the kind of power metal band that power metal fans tend to hate but plenty of other people (metalheads and non-metalheads alike) seem to really enjoy.
I saw them a week ago, and they killed! A live show as energetic and fun as theirs is a rare thing.

dragonforce are an awesome band, gaining a huge following now days. The new album sounds very repetitive, but i still like it. VoTD was their best album, and will probably remain that way unless they change something. Sonic Firestorm was good too.
If you like DragonForce, there's a band called Into Eternity that mix power-metal (not as extreme as DragonForce obviously) and death metal. they do it really well too. check em out.

their live shows are something to marvel at
part of their big appeal is that they don't fall into the cheesy pitfalls of other Power Metal bands either, since they view themselves as a big joke that everyone is in on and don't take themselves too seriously

Exactly, I mean it does seem they take their position as a group of entertainers seriously but they're obviously just having fun doing it, rather than getting all puffed up about it.
