It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I like to give credit where it's due. Apparently, Tucker "Bow Tie" Carlson went after the ACLU on his little-watched show "The Situation" the other day. Big shock--a right wing pundit going after the ACLU. He claimed that the ACLU was nowhere to be found in the Limbaugh doctor shopping case.
Side note: Limbaugh claims he wasn't arrested in that case--the Palm Beach police beg to differ and since they're the ones keeping the satistics...
In reality, the ACLU, as per their tradition of defending civil liberties, even for scumbags, filed an amicus brief in the case and issued a number of press releases defending Limbaugh's right to keep his medical records secret.
Well last night, Tucker apologized (http://mediamatters.org/items/200605040002) and corrected the record. I congratulate him, and note for the record, that he is less of a douchebag than the average right wing pundit.
