Does the number of nations belonging to each region correspond to Zipf's Law?

Likewise with the number of UN representatives per region, and the number of endorsements per UN rep.

Anybody done the stats?

Zipf's law stated that, in a corpus of natural language utterances, the frequency of any word is roughly inversely proportional to its rank in the frequency table.

I think you're just tired. Reading further it does make sense, although if you really want to boil it down to the basics, it appears to say 'The most frequent words occur more often than less frequent words'. To which I must say - GENIUS!

Meaning that the biggest city in the world is about twice as large as the second biggest, the second biggest about twice as large as the third biggest... and so on.

The biggest region (by number of nation states) in Jennifer Govt will have twice as many nation members as the second... and so on.

Which seems at a glance to be true, I'm just asking if anyone has done the counting? I got to 100 city states and then lost interest.
