the threads will be the same as ever, different posters about of course, some of the same oldies too... i'll still be here i hope, and eut will have 50,000 posts by then! (lucky git! :p)

as for my personal life, i don't know. things are in a bit of flux at the moment. i could be studying an extra couple of a-levels to help me get into an arhitecure degree, or finishing my current degree (still officially a politics student lol), or perhaps starting a new degree locally, or doing something completely different, or doing just the same... i really don't know. i do know i want to be with glitziness still in a year's time, whatever happens :) :fluffle:

At this time next year I'll probably be getting my college applications back... I could have gone to college/university next year, but I wanted a year off to do some work and such-like.

I hope to have at least doubled my post-count by then....

I also forsee me finally getting "her" to love me...haha thats a joke... I will prolly be on here still yet. Arguing the same crap, left vs right, Religion, etc... But im sure by next year we won't have threads on Iraq or Iran. By then it will be Russia, and N. Korea.

I'll still be here, though perhaps with a different nation. The threads will still gripe about the USA, but they'll be complaining about the Iran invasion instead of Iraq, which everyone will have forgotten by then. Oh, and gas will be 5-6 dollars a gallon instead of 3. :(

That might take awhile, mainly because all your Legions of Terror are actually loyal to me and will defect at the first opportunity, turn on you, and then disintegrate into skeletons for no good reason because some random callow youth decided to find some ancient artifact or talisman and figure out how to use it against said Legions of Terror.

This time next year I will be one year away from graduating with my masters, and I will still be agonizing about whether or not to get married. I'll still be living at home because I have no money, and my dog will still be peeing on the carpet. I'll still be spending more money than I should on clothes and shit from Target. My hair might look different, but no guarantees.

Thanks, now I'm depressed.

A good question. I don't know. If they follow the trend, they will get increasingly civilised. The first thread I remember seeing (not necessarily the first I saw, just the first I remember) was entitled "Bottle is gay". I remember some posts too, things like "Bottle is a woman, actually" to which the reply was along the lines of "no hes a man and hes gay". Obviously this was long before I created my current nation.

NSG+Time=Civilised? That equation makes no sense... Especially when you add in threads like "NS is full of Racists" :p

Likely still be on NSG, I have been so far, so I don't know what would change that. Maybe interest will wain or I won't have as much time to putz around on the internet. It'll happen eventually, probably with a whimper rather than a bang.

Hopefully my *#&*%&#^ short will be done and I'll be pimping it at festivals.

Hopefully I'll have moved out of production and into a crew position, though I'm starting to think I already have spent too much time in production.

Perhaps one of my vans will already be converted to alternate fuel, either Veronica to propane or The Lego to straight vegetable oil. Opportunity is likely to decide which one.

In Lala Fantasy land Veronica will be earning her own money and I'll have bought a dune buggy or 914 with the money earned from the camera I bought. And I'll have gold leaf toilet paper and the San Francisco Symphonic Choir will sing tributes to me making my poopies all by myself like a big boy...

Did that just get creepy?

No really, this place is so tame nowadays. People used to be flaming and spamming, getting mod-censored, forumbanned, and deleted all the time in the past.

There are more civilised discussions - the arguments are still often idiotic, but they're presented in a civilised way.

as for NSG-- I've been lurking around for awhile now- i think, well, it'll still be all the same liberal/conservative whining-teenage angst riddled-christian crusading against any and all atheists forum with a smattering of inquisitive minds asking the same thought provoking questions such as "what are you wearing" and "am I gay" sprinkled with the occasional random rants of the disaffected youth and adults of the world.

A year from now? I hope to have "grown-up" life, with a paid career rather than university. Who knows, maybe even a dog, or perhaps a Human companion.

I may still be on NationStates. My sister often complains how I still find it fun, when everyone else we know has long given up on it. Based on my observations since first coming to the forum, my guess is that the threads will be on the same themes. The issues might be different, though.

The issues of the day?

- US Economic Policy in light of the Dollar's sorrowful state
- The upcoming US invasion of Iran (Coming to a theatre near you in 2008)
- The completion of the WTO's Doha Development Round
- EU enlargement policy
- The neverending Quebec Sovereignty question

Not wanting to hijack the thread or anything, I would be curious to know what you others think the major news items will be.

P.S.: Yes, I know my bias for things of an international economic nature show through, but a guy can hope his coursework will actually be applicable on NSG, right? ;-)
