It's only half a swastika. Anyway, if the BBC were Hinduphiles as you sugest then they would have given south asia a bigger area.
The ones on the gates of the Palais de la Justice are very obvious to me. But I think the gates have the excuse that they predate the 20th century.

Dunno about the swastika, but if you look at the middle of that map, you can definitely see the red terror that is sweeping Europe!

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but 75% of the completed swastika is already there on the BBC page - the long horizontal and the long vertical forming a cruciform pattern, and then the top short horizontal, and the right short vertical, no?

I said half because the left hand side is the easily reconisable. they have the defining feature of the swastika. By your analysis it's like saying the crucifix is half a swastika, or that even a square is a half a swastika - half the lines are in place and the other half are in the wrong place.
