This has been done a few times before, but I'm making it again. Use this site (www.flamewarriors.com) and tell us which Flame Warrior you think a certain person is. Without a doubt, Eutrusca is The Centurion (http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/centurion.htm).

There was a type in the forums, the Gladiator... It's the guy that visits the forum for the sake of the arguing, and basically makes the discussions into a show for his own ego, to show off his skill (and the opponents' weakness).

I looked into it. Only available in Canada, US, UK and Japan. Thus, it must clearly suck, seeing as its markets are known for liking piss-water.

Oh, and I'm not wearing anything, apart from underwear, as I am lying in bed, tossing and turning, pondering why my chest hair is slightly lighter than my head hair. Turns out, it's the laptop LCD.

Nah. Toxic Grannies are seen by the forum with pity (which they use). Eutrusca tries to GET pity for "being spat on (sic) after the Hanoi Rapefest '65" and uses the age card lots of times, but he still uses more his "service" than anything else. Plus he doesn't succeed at getting pity through his rethoric on either case, something which an actual toxic granny does. Eutrusca is aware that the position of Toxic Granny is more desirable than the one of centurion though, which is the reason for his attempt at getting pitied like Toxic Grannies are.

I might as well pigeonhole myself.

Archivist (http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/archivist.htm) - When in a heated debate, oftentimes I will scour my opponent's posting history for possible contradictions, hypocritical bullshit, etc.
Big Cat (http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/bigcat.htm) - I don't normally engage someone directly unless I find something that needs attention brought to it. More often than not, I lazily browse the forum and reply casually, but when a remark of mine is met with aggressive opposition, I never hesitate to crush their argument; this, of course, after I've had my fun and drawn circles around it.
Picador (http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/picador.htm) - If especially bored, I'll sometimes resort to provoking a response by acting in an idiosyncratic manner. This sort of taunting is rarely, if ever, done for any reason other than as a means of escaping the monotony that NS General periodically suffers from.
Philosopher (http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/philosopher.htm) - Occasionally the above boredom will instead result in idle contemplation, where all I'm looking for is a fellow NSer to share their position on a controversial or highly theoretical subject and express the ideas and views that they have about it.

Now I feel similar to Jekyl and Hyde.

By being afraid to ask, one may assume that being overly sensitive to criticism is the reason for not asking.

The Tireless Rebutter believes their argument is without defect, and the nitpick points out any defect in their opponent's argument. This can be thought of as egotistical.

Or someone who has formed a good, solid argument and is willing to put in the effort to show the flaws in the argument of the other side. That's called debate. According to your point, it would be egotistical to use any debate tactics at all, other than simply agreeing with the other person.

Or someone kidding around.

Or someone who has formed a good, solid argument and is willing to put in the effort to show the flaws in the argument of the other side. That's called debate. According to your point, it would be egotistical to use any debate tactics at all, other than simply agreeing with the other person.

Meanwhile, the EGO is not just a person who is egotistical.

Ah, but the Tireless Rebutter does not alter his argument in a debate, he merely repeats it again and again with little tactical shift; rigidly uncompromising. As for the Nitpick, I would not consider drawing attention to minor, inconsequential errors a tactic. It does little to assist in a debate besides making the Nitpick seem obsessed with absolute correctness. The Ego, as one is described by Mike Reed, is solely egotistical. He does not mention anything about the definition of ego.

It does not say that on the site that was linked. The tireless rebutter says nothing about there being no tactical shift and that is the only site I saw these titles on. If you are reading more into it than is on that site then don't. I only used that site to point to names I could see fitting me to some degree or another.

Interpret that how you will. It's all about interpretation, and I consider the warriors you chose, and the contents of your original post, inextricably linked to both Ego and Weenie. Your replies further solidify my opinion.

too young? what's your definition of young?

ah, i've spoken w/ the likes of Sin, Eut, drunk commies... i guess my posting style is that i don't leave a mark on peoples memories.

I just mean young as in you dont have enough posts to leave an impression on people. But thats just my opinion......

I would ask those people if they could classify you then.

I dunno, I think its better if other people tell me what I am, since everyone usually chooses what is most flattering to themselves.

I have to say that a forum this large, highly populated, and active is difficult for an Ego type flamewarrior.

On the topic, I have been known to take the role of the Tireless Rebutter.

Still a lurker...I think. I'm starting to post a little when I can't sleep. Like right now. And a also a fanboy, to some extent, because whenever I see a thread on sports, I'll post something about the Mets, or just baseball.

So because I actually read the statements on that site. Statements that say nothing about never changing one's opinion, then I'm Ego and Weenie. Excellent argument. Perhaps next you'll tell me how something else you were wrong about proves your point.

Your interpretation would make it equal to ferrous cranus and the author of the site a person with a tendency towards calling the same thing by multiple names.

No way, I've never seen anyone support UN.

You'd have to be insane...he claims to be a pro Bush America loving right winger...yet he supports the arabs.

Its impossible.

I'm still sticking with "target".

What's wrong with that? I support UN and I am a Pro-Arab Right-winger.

Being Conservative does not mean you hate Arabs.

I meant UN the poster not the United Nations.

I said supporting.

Maybe. But if you view yourself as a poor debater, that might change things...
