...'cause today is my birthday! So what did you all get me? I bet it was another pair of socks. NSG chipped in together and got me some more socks. Damn....:(
What makes this birthday special though is that I'm now a legal citizen. I can be arrested. I can be charged as an adult. Hell I can run for the Liberal leadership.

You can have some green tea from me, if you want, as a birthday present.
Because all proper tea is theft :p
But happy birthday, prettige verjaardag and all of those other terms for happy birthday! And have a birthday snog, too. :fluffle:

Hey, plus you can now have sex with anyone you want!(18 or over) Always a plus. That's my present by the way, a free blow job somewhere in the distant future.

Ah, but if you lived in the UK then you could go out and get horribly drunk. Sex and smoking is what you do on your sixteenth here in the UK. That and own a Reliant Robin, as it's the closest thing to a car that you can legally own.

Congratulations!
I could run for office last year, but my mum thought school was more important :p (damnit, it would rock to be 16 and a member of the city council!)

Lucky British bastards. We can't drink till 21. How's it in Canada?

But is it really worth the embarrasment? :p

Not the point. Legality is the issue here. We also can't legally drive here until a minimum of 15, not that that ever stopped me.

It depends on the province. In Newfoundland, it's 19.

Wow, lucky I live in Canada then. 14 for learners (Class 7, someone with a Class 5 has to be in the car), 16 for GDL (Class 5, except you can't fuck up) then 18 for a regular Class 5.

I'm sorry. I was going to give you a speech impediment, but after I tried it at the shop, the clerk couldn't understand how I wanted to pay for it.. So he took it back :(

Probably a good thing. But hey, its the thought that counts.

Spray it burberry, put spinners on the outer wheels and add a fin to the top (as my mate hilariously did) and it's the ultimate irony-mobile :p

That's like in Kansas(or one of those states, it's true geography's not my strong suit) where they get their full DL at 14. If only Florida would lower the age instead of raising it to 18(although I'm getting mine in a week).
