Bring on the Bacon!
So, after roughly a year and a half of vegetarianism for reasons of health and self-discipline, I’m back on the meat!
I just got tired of the inconvenience, of always trying to make sure something didn’t have meat in it and finding the vegetarian meals at restaurants and also sick of the environmental loonies associated with vegetarianism.
I suppose a good thing that has come out of the whole ordeal is that I am now aware of some vegetarian dishes that are actually very good that I wouldn’t have otherwise tried.
So what are ya’lls experiences with vegetarianism? Are or were you one? I’m sure we’ve all known people who are. Is your opinion of the diet positive or negative?

Mostly positive. Though we are omnivorous, we evolved to mostly eat plants and the occasional soft meat, like fish. Healthier stuff anyway. Me, I've cut back significantly on meat, and what meat I do eat would be poultry and fish.

I think a lot of vegetarians go overboard with their 0% tolerance for meat and make life harder for themselves. If someone wants to eat 0% meat that's up to them, but if they are interested in it's supposed health benefits then eating a little meat when it inconvenient not to do so won't hurt you and if you think ending the exploitation of animals is important I think there are many people who would be willing to eat less meat if they didn't think they had to give it up entirely.

I had a big ass steak tonight for dinner. It still went moo when I stabbed it with my fork.
My only experiance with vegetarianism was when my brother was a vegetarian for like a month or two when he was about eight. All he had was Cheerios, vegetarian hotdogs and tofu. Then he forgot he was a vegetarian and went to back to eating meat. I think what sparked it was some sheep we had raised ended up in the freezer.
