I am not sure if the game is supposed to be this way but, it's slow and not as exciting as running a government would be in my mind. This game seemed interesting at first but I'm not so sure yet, I can't do anything.

Question 1

Does it pick up?

Question 2

Is there other games that involve running a government in a realistic way?

1) No.

2) Not that I remember.

Actually, I find it to be just about as exciting as I would expect actually running a government would be in real life. I don't particularly envision administration as a edge-of-your-seat occupation.

Incidentally, the game does pick up. Once you get past a certain population or tenure here, neither of which I remember, you move beyond the 30-issue kiddie pool and get access to the full repetoire of issues to answer.

Speaking of that, do you get that "One RL Year" issue when your country turns a year old, or was that for the Nationstates game turning a year old only?

You could try role playing... I'm not sure what section that comes under, but there seem to be a few people that do that...

you can set it to give you two issues a day. i think that's the most..

and get into the whole RP aspect. the Internationl Incidents and... whatever the other one is, the name escapes me right now... forums are prety much all about that.

a well run region with active memebers can make it mroe fun too. as can getting involved in the UN [or it can be just frustraighting. depends]

but yeah, nationstates it's self doesn't really get a lot more exciteing. or doesn't seem to, at least.

it's all about the interactions and seeing what happens when you do different things.
