I know, it's terrible, but my sister spends her summers in Canada at hockey camps, so whenever I think of Canada, I think of her heading up to Toronto in that nasty, sweaty hockey gear of hers :X.

A nice flag. Hopefully the country is also nice -- I've never been in Canada, but I plan to visit Alberta in November. I've been told that the Canadian climate is not too different from Russian. Unfortunately I won't be able to see the examples of the Victorian architecture which I like. Maybe next time.

And I'd like to travel from one coast to another by the Canadian Pacific Railway someday...

What else? If there were a beauty contest among the heads of state, your "de facto" would be the winner. :cool:

An an American, I love seeing the Canadian flag, The Canadians are friends, our trading partner, and genuinly good people. Not to mention, there are some SMOKIN' HOT girls that have been gifts from Canada..... We love you Canada!

Women's hockey? That's not a sport until drunken fans start taking up the section behind the other team's bench while heckling, fighting, and insulting the refs. ;)

Yeah, I love seeing Canadians in Europe... they're so cute trying to not be American, even though they're just Americans that don't get enough sunlight and have to deal with a strange branch of the French. :D

(BTW: I've seen *all* nationalities act badly while on vacationing. That includes Americans in Europe, French and Brits in New York, and even Poles in Prague.)

I think the term "Free Health Care" refers to the fact that whether you walk into a hospital ER to receive care for a fractured limb, or you're staying in for a month due to heart surgery, you don't have to pay (directly) for any of it. It isn't "free", and the money does come from tax dollars, but there's a difference between paying, say, thirty bucks a month in taxes to health care specifically, then to walk in and pay thousands of dollars to have a cast put on your leg.
