A nice flag. Hopefully the country is also nice -- I've never been in Canada, but I plan to visit Alberta in November. I've been told that the Canadian climate is not too different from Russian. Unfortunately I won't be able to see the examples of the Victorian architecture which I like. Maybe next time.
And I'd like to travel from one coast to another by the Canadian Pacific Railway someday...

Um... I think "that's the Canadian flag". Well, actually, I wouldn't think any words at all, but you get the idea.
and here I shall Quote Saint Curie:
And as a Canadian, you are the gravest threat to human life to ever exist. You gawdamm people with your reasonable public discourse, peacable foreign policy, broadly available healthcare, expansive natural preserves, and fucked-up football rules. You people must be stopped.

Women's hockey? That's not a sport until drunken fans start taking up the section behind the other team's bench while heckling, fighting, and insulting the refs. ;)
Yeah, I love seeing Canadians in Europe... they're so cute trying to not be American, even though they're just Americans that don't get enough sunlight and have to deal with a strange branch of the French. :D

oh, and I see red and white when I look at our flag.
I think the term "Free Health Care" refers to the fact that whether you walk into a hospital ER to receive care for a fractured limb, or you're staying in for a month due to heart surgery, you don't have to pay (directly) for any of it. It isn't "free", and the money does come from tax dollars, but there's a difference between paying, say, thirty bucks a month in taxes to health care specifically, then to walk in and pay thousands of dollars to have a cast put on your leg.
...crummy beer (sorry guys, your beer does blow)...QUOTE]
Hey man, our beer RULES. It's much better than the bubbly American horse piss that they try to pass off as "beer":D. Now, in comparision to some European beers (mostly the German ones), yes, we do pale in comparison...still, Labbat Blue rules (to hell with sell-out Molson:upyours:)!

Ooooh yeah:), couldn't have said it better myself, and from an outsider's perspective it's all the more sweet.
Oh, and the flag. I think of justice, equality, prosperity, freedom, and brotherhood/sisterhood. Not to mention all of those who, over our centuries-old history, have built this nation through their toiling and hard work. God bless our blue-collar departed souls.
