For those of you in northern Virginia, there is a gunshow at the Dulles Expo Center starting at three. If you plan on purchasing a firearm at the show you will need two forms of Identification, Driver's Licencse and Voter's registration for example. The enterance fee should be less than Twenty Dollars for the entire weekend if you intend to go all three days, The show will be lasting until sunday at Five.

Your police carry guns which is more than ours do. I don't think anyone in this country has a gun for self protection besides drug dealers...

If you do indeed live in North Carolina it'll only be oh..... eight hours. Sorry, you could do a search online for one in your area. (Probably not one this weekend, though)

Well, if you want gun stay in the USA. Australian laws are "Draconican" compared to the USA. Gun control has been implemented here pretty much - and for you a nightmare.

Ouch.
See why no guns shows in Australia! We used have two pistols, .270 rifle, a shotgun and an air rifle. I think we only have the .270 rifle and air rifle left, a BSA one!
North Carolina is not 8 hours from Virginia, hell you could be in upstate New York in 8 hours.
Hrm, actually if you were in Calabash, NC and had to go to Purcellville, VA it would take you about 8 hours. Depending on what kind of time you made.
Personally I would love to own some guns, not for protection or anything like that, but just to have 'em. My boss has an M16 and an AK17 that I know of, there's a .22 rifle here in the office and a .38 revolver in his desk. He's a gun collector, the death threats just mean that we keep some weapons handy. I think the M16 is in his office upstairs.

Story of my life! When there are gunshows near here, I don't have any money; when I have money, there are no gunshows near here! Sigh. :headbang:

Frustrating, to say the least. I own a Kalashnikov, a M16, a Desert Eagle (.50 AE), Two FALs (One is a carbine), a M1 Garand and alot more than that.
(Sorry to brag about my collection, granted I know someone in Finland that has only automatics)

In my experiance it took me almost eight hours to make it to Mars Hill, NC. It may have been traffic though....

That would be an "arsenal" in Australia. One of two pistols was a S&W Model 66 Revolver, 4 or 6 inch barrel I think. Nice gun, but to keep it you have to be regular at the local gun club. But we had no time ...

Well, DAY-um, Skippy! When the ballon goes up, can I stay at your place? I'm really good with weapons and unconventional warfare. :D

Those laws are simply asinine, in my opinion. The same goes for the 1986 law in the states (Civilians can only purchase a automatic firearm if it was made before 1986). Granted this law doesn't affect me.

Firearms are only weapons if you intend to use them as such.
