I saw it several months ago. I can't recall any stunning moments but I'm sure they'll come back to me as others bring them up.

The same. But then, I dislike Final Fantasy VII. All the excess attention it gets that it doesn't need is irksome.

I think you have to watch it in the Japanese, so you can appreciate how well the mouth movements sync up with the voices. It's spooky.

I loved it. A lot more is explained in the dub, or at least it's explained more clearly, such as where Kadaj et al came from. A couple of the voices were a bit nonchalant at times, but I prefer the dub to the original with subs. Shocking, blasphemous, and unacceptable, I know. :p

Then again, maybe it's just because I saw a REALLY badly translated version of the subs when I downloaded it before, but I still enjoyed the dub much more.

I just hope they got some half assed competent voice actors. Most dubs are, well horrifying in ways that words can't express.

I didn't have the slightest clue what that film was about. Even so, it was a quality bit of entertainment.

It was OK, but I had hoped for more. The ending was dissapointing.

A few of the voices were off key, but not in a way that it would take away from the quality of the film. They had a lot to live up to because the Japanese voices were absolutely perfect. (Kadaj, Sephiroth, Vincent, etc, etc.). My biggest beef with the movie was that it was 100% about Cloud. Forget and ignore all the other deep characters because this is completely about Cloud and his coming to terms with the events that took place in the game.

-Barret's and Cid's were...well you'll see.

-The american voice of Sephiroth is much colder, which I think fits perfectly.

-I hated Loz's voice, but I also hated his character anyway.

-Vincent's voice in both is amazing.

-The Japanese version of Kadaj is too perfect to beat.

-Cloud's voice in both is fine

Also the previews for Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus are amazing.

it's fanfap, mostly. Visually stunning, but kind of lame as far as content. Large swords, spiky hair, pretty pseudo-men.

Considering that it's based on a videogame with most of the same characters, it had a lot to live up to, and unless you've played FFVII, you won't 'get' most of the story anyway.

Sephiroth's return seemed a little silly to me - I hardly see Jenova botherign to brign him back like that.

Phones - annoyed me throuhg out and I don't mean those of the audience. Though they did feature kidna slightly prominently in the game.

Otherwise a nice little tie in thing as they go and better than I was epxecting, and visual masterpeice.

Borrowed it from a friend. Buying it this weekend. I thought it was amazing. Loved the final fight scene and I found the phones rather entertaining.

Why wouldn't Jenova bring back her loyal knight to fight Cloud and destroy the planet. Kadaj sure as hell couldn't.

The phones where a big part of Cloud's personality and were pretty much necessary in organizing the story.

I don't think it was a matter of Jenova doing it consciously. Kadaj was literally a 'remnant' of Sephiroth. The Jenova cells were the key to his, or Loz's, or Yazoo's, becoming Sephiroth. He knew it subconsciously, or perhaps consciously but never said so outright. That's why he was looking so hard for Jenova's head.
