How do I get my lawnmower to perform as well as this one?

I'm looking to improve the performance of my lawnmower, as it's been dragging lately. I remember when my lawnmower used to fly around my yard. Here's what I've been thinking of doing: http://www.wimp.com/lawnmower/

Okay, time to make a flying porta-potty. :)

Don't know how well it would cut the grass from that altitude.;)

I guess it depends on how tall the grass is.

that's pretty mental. is it real? i mean like not faked. i was wondering where the control surfaces are for turning and doing all those tricks. i assume the lift would come from putting suitably feathered blades and a higher powered engine and the forward thrust from rockets it looked like. i don't know how easy it is to fake something like that with a computer but that was pretty incredible! :D

Not full sized, but a a flying porta-potty (http://www.newtons3rdrocketry.com/) none the less.

Scale model.
Maybe I should get started on a full-sized one. :D

It's not a real lawnmower (never was), it's the same construction as other R/C airplanes (balsa and lite ply). The deck is the wing, and there's a piston engine driven prop on the front. The control surfaces are behind the wing and rear "tires".

Shouldn't be to hard, just drop a match down the hole and blast-off!

I'll set it up outside a Taco Bell for maximum fuel potency. :)

ah, that makes sense :) it did look very light in the air. a pretty cool achievement considering the general unwieldiness of the shape of the thing :D

We'd need some way to prevent the resulting explosion from re-entering the Crapsule however. Hmmmm......
