Not that many of you are likely to care, seeing as you probably don't know me, but I just got my acceptance letter this morning. I applied to just one university, for one program, without going through my high school (it'd be kind of hard to do that anyway, since I'm halfway across the country from it and have been out of high school for this school year), and I applied just before the cut-off date for applications. I got an earlier letter than most people get around here, too. 'Most everyone I know or know of around here got their letters from this university in June, or late May at the earliest. I got mine in late April, not even 2 months after I applied.

Considering all the medical problems I had, and all the months of school I missed (close to, if not exceeding, 2/3 of my senior year), this is a BIG accomplishment for me, and I don't even care if everybody tries to flame me in this thread because today is a kickass-awesome-good day. :D

Oh, and :fluffle: ahead of time to all who don't go being mean in my thread. xD

I applied to Memorial University of Newfoundland, the SWGC campus which is just across town from me, so I can walk for most of the year. I'm currently going in for a Bachelor of Science with a major in Psych, and a minor in Maths. (I think that's how it works, anyway. xD)

Aww! That sucks big time. Thankfully, because of the hugely small price of tuition in Canada compared to the US, I'll only be paying $4000 to $5000 per year CND, because I'm living with mom instead of in res.

Congrats! I have cousins who live near there! And does the admissions process take that long in Canada?

On a related note, I just decided what college I'm going to next year. Go St. Mary's!

Well, it IS a Newfoundland university. xD Not like it advertises much across the country, although the marine programs are, due to its being located on The Rock, supposed to be incredible.

Well, usually you apply in December/January, and you hear back some time in April/May/June. I applied in late February, and heard back in April. I just got really lucky, I guess. :D Don't know how long the norm here is compared to other countries, though.

At the main campus, yeah, among other, less curious programs. ;) I'm sticking to Grenfell for my 4 years, though. I can do a Psych/math degree entirely here, and I don't feel like having to move again so soon, as fascinating as that course sounds. xD
