are there any movies coming up that you are actually looking forward to?

i would usually be at least interested in seeing mission impossible 3 but tom cruise is starting to creep me out so im not sure ill see it.

did you see that there is a remake of "the omen" coming out on 6.6.06? i figure they remade it just so they could open it on that date but i was looking at the trailer on the apple trailer site today and it at least has lots of atmosphere. the little boy seems perfectly chosen.

the movie that i just became excited about is opening in the next couple weeks. i saw the trailer on the yahoo trailer site and i think that anyone reading this thread should take a look http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&cf=trailer&id=1808756416

its an amazingly beautiful chinese "fairy tale" movie called THE PROMISE. it made a big splash at the berlin film festival. if you dont have broadband but still want to take a look, try the still page http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808756416/photo/stills

Over the Hedge (http://imdb.com/title/tt0327084/)

(it looks cute)

Superman (if it really does come out, and I am counting on it sucking big time but will go see it anyway opening weekend)

and there are rumors that the movie my hubby filmed last spring will be out in August, so that mostly.

Oh come on! It has Kevin Spacey (!!) as Lex Luthor (!!!). It's going to be great to have the Man of Steel back in action.

I would also be interested in seeing X3, no matter how it comes out. It's either going to be a tremendous movie or a tremendous wreck, but either way it should be interesting to watch.

Kevin Spacey rocks, I am not worried about him, I am worried about them screwing up the story and the person they cast as Superman..... very worried. Although I really should give up on continuity.

Snakes on a Plane!

Seriously, it'll be brilliant. It has Samuel L. Jackson. And snakes. On a plane. I think there might be a plot as well...

The big Hollywood titles have been a pretty poor crop lately.

I'll be looking forward to some of the smaller serious drama films, though.

I'm boycotting Tom Cruise as a person. He's become this huge ideological ego that even eclipses Mel Gibson's. He makes a big deal to the press about not letting his wife scream during her childbirth, when you know she's so starstruck by him that she's not going to say no to anything he says.

And he makes this big public deal about Scientology and even insists he knows anything about psychology when in fact he knows nothing at all about it except maybe a few historical bulletpoints warped out of context.

The only thing Tom Cruise could possibly do to make me ever see a movie of his again is to come out personally and apologize for being so obnoxious for the last year. Which he won't.

Ya, Pirates looks pretty good for a Bruckheimer film. The DiVinci cade looks impecable from what I can see in the preveiws. I just saw the trailer for Posiden, that looks like a decent remake.

The Da Vinchi Code
Pirates of the Carribean 2: Dead Man's Chest
Super Man (hope it's good.....)
Spider Man 3? (I thought it's this summer.... I could easily be wrong)
James Bond: Hotel Royal (Either summer, or November this year I believe)
Spy Hunter (loved the game)

Other movies:
X-Men III
MI: III
Poseidon

Next summer, however, I'm looking forward to Sin City 2. It's more of a prequal to Sin City, since it has Marv in it again.

Anyone know of any good horror movies?

in theory its possible. sometimes it seems like peter jackson set the bar so high that they have stopped even trying to make a good movie

but i AM looking foward to "the promise", a movie i hadnt even heard of before today.

The only movie that I'm really looking forward to is X3, but I'd like to see Superman and Mission: Impossible 3 (Despite the Cruise Factor.)

There's just not a lot of movies I get all worked up about anymore.

Yeah, i love that religious fiction shit. Especially the whole "virgin birth/turning water into wine/died for all our sins" one, thats a cracker.
