Is this ER worthy?

I have a ganglion (http://www.ccohs.ca/oshanswers/diseases/ganglion.html) on my wrist, it hasn't been a problem, till today. It has started to give me a slight pain today. I think it's filling up more and the nurse told me to go to the doctor about it.

Should I wait till tomorrow for the doctor.. or go to the ER? I mean.. I can deal with it, but is it serious health-wise?

It's right on top of the pulse, so.. yeah.

Erm. I'm not sure if this helps you any, but my grandmother used to get them all the time and my grandad would hit them with the bible and they'd disperse.

Sometimes she waited a couple of days before telling them about them (because... well, it kind of hurts being hit by a bible, doesn't it?), so I guess it probably won't hurt to go to the doctor in the morning. But if the pain gets worse I would go now.

Or you could just try hitting it with a bible. Or a dictionary if you're not a christian.

I used to have insurance where unless it's a risk to life or limb, they didn't cover ER charges. So, when I got my hand slammed in a car door and the metal thing for the child lock went in one side and came out the other and I called to get dr. approval, they said "have you lost more than a pint of blood?" and when I said "no" they made sure my tetnus was up to date, and told me to wait and call Monday to be seen.

useless insurance, I went to the ER anyway, and paid out of pocket.

anyway, you will probably have to wait for 6-8 hours when they will tell you it's "non-urgent" and to call your doctor tomorrow.

I would say..... let it sit, take some pain meds, and call your doctor tomorrow, they won't be able to do anything in the ER except run you up a huge bill.

I have a similar situation now.

I woke up yesterday with a fairly sharp pain in my left abdomen. I dont know wether I pulled a muscle or what. Thought at first it could be constipation, which I've never had, but then things functioned as usual, so thats out.
It wasnt as bad this afternoon when I was planning to make a doctor's appointment, so I skipped it. Now its bad again.
I hate going to the doctor or emergency room because I dont want to get on the merry go round of tests again.

Maybe I'll luck out and it will just go away. I know I would tell anyone asking for advice to go to the doctor and sort it out, but I rarely take my own advice.

could be a whole mess of things, I would take some Mylanta in case it's your gallbladder, if so that should help a little, if not, and the pain gets worse I would 100% go to the doctor and if it gets really severe and you start puking go to the ER ASAP

EDIT: yes i know your gallbladder isn't on your left side, but it can hurt in weird places like on the other side of your body.
