Favorite US fast-food burger.

Okay, folks, drop trou and let flicker with your votes for best US-based fast-food burger.

I'll provide some of the biggies in the poll, but can't put them all on there... so if you vote Other, let us know what it is per favore.

Or... just let us know anyway. hehe

UK: KFC Zinger Tower or Burger King XL Bacon Double Cheeseburger

many of these have different varieties...

BA Burger at BK, for instance... they have two or three varieties.

Six Dollar Burger is meant for any of Hardee's Thickburgers

There are at least two different kinds of Big Buford (regular and bacon-swiss)

etc.

Vote for category, then please list the exact MODEL that's your favorite.

Though I haven't eaten--nor plan to eat--fast food in many years, I'd say the Ultimate Cheeseburgur from Jack in the Box is by far the best tasting, though also probably one of the worst in terms of nutrition.

Carls Jr and Hardee's are the same... if it's a Thickburger, then we're thinking of the same thing. (Six Dollar Burger was the first model of that burger line)

Thickburger is the name for Hardee's/Carls Jr. line of Black Angus burgers.

Yep- they fry the bun a little too first. I think the pre-cooked weight if the burgers is 1/2 a pound.

Then, you can load it up with cheese sauce, onions, relish, tomato, lettuce, etc... And big fries loaded with cheese too.
They also sell beer there too.

You need a nap afterwards to sleep off the bloat.

I remember them being more expensive than the usual fast food-I bet its like $6.00 or $7.00 for the burger, fries, soda.

I just looked at thier site- They actually have a 1 lb burger. I guess there was a time I could have wiped that out and not had a problem.

btw they have 2 meats and 4 sizes of sammiches. small, reg, 1/4, 1/2. steak - A1 and onions, bacon & chedder, and the regular that is slaw, chili and mustard iirc. chicken has the A1 style, bacon & chedder, spicy(my fav), and reg - lettuce, mayo and tomoto. good seasoned ff's, onion rings, corn dogs and shakes. They will expand I'm sure. Too good not to. Just hope the quality doesn't suffer for it. I rarely eat ff, but if i do I treat myself to theirs usually. The closest I've found to home grilled.

A homemade burger?

Yeah, I like the burgers I make okay, but the meat we buy in the stores has almost always been frozen, and sometimes thawed and frozen again. Fast food burgers they always buy frozen pre-made patties. Freezing meat takes away a lot of the flavor and just changes the whole thing.

NOTHING beats the burgers you can get at Jake's (http://www.jakeshamburgers.com/menu.htm) though. Fresh ground (that day), never frozen, cooked only when you order it, so it hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp for half an hour. Only bacon costs extra, all the rest of the toppings are included in any burger. You'll never realise how much of a difference it makes until you try a fresh never-frozen burger. Mmmmmm...

(Unfortunately, there are only 5 Jake's I think, all in Delaware, or northern Maryland. Sorry everyone else.)

There are only two places I bother with if I feel the need for fast food.

In these parts (Minnesota) I'll have the double cheeseburger, with onions and mustard only, at Culver's. They're kind of greasy, so if you can't handle that, you wouldn't like them.

But when I travel back home (Missouri), I have to go to Steak n Shake for their double cheeseburger (they call 'em Steakburgers), with onions and mustard only. Best cure in the world for a hangover...:p
