Did anyone notice this about the latest Bin Laden tape?

Bin Laden has come out in favor of racist genocide! He has spoken out against the prospect of western nations sending peace keeping forces to Darfur, where Arab janjaweed are busy exterminating black Muslims.

Nor have I, but in one of the bits I heard he spoke of a potential peace keeping force in Sudan as a Western attack on Islam.

He's really clutching at the last straws of sanity now....
More like these tapes are fake and are made by the US government.
Bin Laden is probably dead. Notice how he gets resurrected everytime Bush needs a popularity hike or support for some ridiculous war (which he will probably never get from now on).
Go on, keep scaring the people into obedience. The more you tighten your grip...the more slips through your fingers.

I've got a theory. You're fake. People trying to discredit the left keep posting morbidly obtuse conspiracy theories here to make everyone left of the shrub seem crazy.

If that was the case, the tapes would have Bin Laden demanding that the US intervene in Darfur, because we don't want to; so we could look 'strong' by refusing.
I'm not saying that the tapes are not fake however.

I do find it rather awkward that these tapes 'magically' appear whenever Big Brother Shrub needs a popularity boost; the government may be releasing them at selective times, which is much more likely theory.

Think about it. They "appear" often at Al Jazeera offices. Either Al Jazeera sits on them until Bush gives the OK to release them, or Al Jazeera's reporter's sources are all CIA operatives. Neither is likely.

I agree...If you look at many of his videos you'll notice a few things about him. He wears a gold ring, which i beleive is forbidden in certain parts of Islam. Also you see him writting in a few videos with one of his hands...the problem is that CIA tapes show that he writes with the other hand.(don't remember which hand)

I don't think it's him any more. And I don't care either. Let the Americans play puppets if they like.

Valid point. Bribes, possibly? Who knows; I just find the timings way to paradoxal.

He's supposed to be a lefty. In one video shortly after a bombing campaign in the area where he was believed to be hiding, he didn't move his left arm at all. Examination of the tape by doctors revealed that his left arm was probably injured. After a severe injury don't you think that perhaps he might use his right a bit more?

I have to say that the more likely idea is not that anyone is looking for a boost in popularity. The most likely conclusion is that Bin Ladin doesn't want us anywhere near the Mid East.
:mp5:
It's funny how some people are almost always trying to use anything to discredit the American government. guess what? Bush has needed more popularity for a long time. I mean, that's a pretty long period. You're bound to get a couple "kill the infidels" vidoes in such a long period of time. I mean, if this showed up when Bush had a much higher level of popularity, would the Bush bashers complain that he wants more popularity?

Why are you surprised?
Because he's only supposed to call for genocide against non-Muslims, not against black Muslims. I wonder if Muslims in Nigeria, Tanzania, and elsewhere in sub-saharan Africa will be offended.

If so, I wonder whether it will exceed their outrage over Danish cartoons?

Oh hell no. Calling for the extermination of blacks in Darfur is nothing compared to making fun of a "prophet" who lived some 1400 years ago.

They should be. All Muslims should be offended by everything that self-serving bastard has ever said or done. Offended, but not surprised.
I am also suspicious of the timing of the release of these things, but I don't have a satisfactory explanation for it. But I was wondering what was taking so long for a tape to come out, seeing as how Bush needed one so bad.
If it turns out, within the next three weeks, say, that US policy shifts (so much in demand these days) are going to try to move away from unilateral offensive military threats against Iran and towards UN-led humanitarian military action in Darfur, then I would be very suspicious of this tape, relative to US politics.
If not (and quite frankly, I don't see Bush/Cheney caring much more about the black Muslims in Darfur than bin Ladin does), then I'd say it's more likely that the timing of the tapes is just a happy accident for Bush & Co, and that al Qaida's agenda is playing out in a similar time frame to Bush's. Not unlikely, seeing as how they play off each other so much.

I would have to say that the US Gov't making the tapes is a bit of stretch. I wouldn't be surprised if they were fakes, hell, they probably aren't even really from Bin Laden. Yes, Bush needs a popularity boost, so why would the gov't, in an effort to raise approval ratings, release fake tapes? That's ridiculous. If Bin Laden was dead, they would parade Bin Laden's body around the streets of the US, and Bush would be a hero. BOOM to approval ratings. If BIn Laden died in a foreign country--or a safe-house of sorts--without the US having knowledge, I bet they would be mourning the death of a hero, and thus, we would have found out about it in one way or another.

I have to agree. Besides, as a previous poster said, they'd have a much better way of boosting Bush's ratings if Bin Laden was dead anyway. So, in all likelihood, it's just a happy accident, as you say. Not that it'll help matters much, no doubt.

Tape came out and Bush's popularity went down a point. (Which isn't statistically significant no matter what the news outlets say.) Frankly, his bungling with going in with too few forces and trusting the Afgahnies led Bin Laden's escape. Anytime a tape pops up, Bush's approval rating should take a hit. It's a another thing he hasn't succeded at despite unlimited resources and a whole lot of time.

I see the bin laden tape, and can only imagine how bad that piece of shit smells.
Hopefully, he'll be dangling from a hook sometime soon. Instead of prying him out of his hole like a tick and putting him on trial, it'd be nice if the ones that locate him just drop a grenade on his head. Or after shooting him a few times, shave him and post the pics of his bloated remains. And all those tha twere with him.

Fakes? Probably. Bin Laden has been releasing video tapes since the seventies, and now suddenly switches to audio? Hmmm...
As for who is faking them, I would have to say someone who thinks that invoking his name will bring fanatics to support thier cause.
It really does't make any sense for the US gov to make these tapes, and if there was any serious thought that they did come from the US, do you think that Al Jazeera would air them?
My belief is that Bin Laden is dead. He was killed, confermed dead, and buried where only the worms will find his corpse. Why? Because if the US kills him, he gains instant marytrdom. Islamo nut jobs all over the globe would be energized to carry out jihad. But if he disapears, what happened? Especially since the US is still hunting him. the seeds are planted that he abandoned the cause, and his influance fades away in time. Just a thought.

Are you surprised that Bin Laden is on the side of a murderous Arab force? Remember where the 9/11 hijackers came from.

Drunk commies deleted: Did you catch the part about warriors not going there to defend the Khartoum government (who supplied the Jingaweit with weapons in the first place), but to defend Islam. When taken in that context it doesn't seem so hypocritical.
It probably is him on the tapes, but we probably attribute to much power to bin Laden.
