It seems to me that homosexuals are recieving a huge amount of attention from the media, from the public, everyone is involved in or at least knows about the "gay debate". But what about all those other perverts, you know what I'm talking about Bondage, Dominance, bestiality, fetishes, BDSM in all its many and varied forms. Why don't they recieve their moment in the limelight.
To those who oppose BDSM as a sin, perversion, unnatural, etc. Why? Whats your reasoning, and (the trickiest question) what exactly do you consider BDSM.
To those of you who acknowledge and glory in your darker desires, why do you think that nobody wants to talk about you. Does the Christian right,
(a)think you are such an insignificant minority that they just dismiss you.
(b)are completely ignorant of your existance.
(c)are afraid to look to closely lest they find out that most of the non-christian right falls into this category.

I would have to agree with Fass, though it is a question I've often wondered about. Why is it that Christians focus so much hatred on homosexuals while all but ignoring BDSM, foot fetishism, and other common paraphilias that would surely strike them as much more unnatural and perverted? I'm tempted to speculate that they get off on submitting to God, making it against their interests to go after sadomasochists (however offensive such speculation may be), but I highly doubt that and it wouldn't explain their attitudes toward other fetishes.

What I am saying is if you apply the principles by which homosexuals are ostracized and demonized etc. to the afore mentioned others then the Christians should go after them much more than they do gays, but they don't its an unheard of subject. I was just wondering why. And I was hoping that a few of the Christian right would come on to defend their views but no dice so far.

Actually the S&M and Bondage and Transvestites and other sexual deviants are usually part of homosexual subcultures... just watch a gay pride parade. Now I wouldn't necessarily put homosexuals in the same group as the other sexual deviants if they didn't do it themselves (let them in their parades), and if the homosexual elite were actually about equal rights and respect. Get this homosexual elite you are accepted you are tolerated, AMERICA TOLERATES YOU because America is decent, but lately they've (the homosexual elite) have taken it too far, they are sexualizing our children. Have any of you actually read the papers for "sex ed" or "tolerance ed" and what not, its horribly disgusting. The Tolerance education towards homosexuals isn't about toleration at all its about how to have sex and such, and they teach this stuff to elementary school kids (k-5th grades). GUESS WHAT KIDS THAT OLD DON'T HAVE A SEXUALITY!!! The homosexual elite need to get real.

there is deffinately a homosexual elite. By this I mean the people who claim to be the "leadership" of the homosexual community. I know alot of gays and lesbians who are decent people. But the homosexual elite are people who support a completely irresponsible and immoral lifestyle, and they are the reason that most people throw all homosexuals into the same label group.

Frankly? I don't know. But it might have to do with the fact that all of those things apply to heterosexuals as well as homosexuals, and what they are so riled up about is the whole idea of two people of the same sex getting it on.

Me, I wish people in the U.S. would quit using their Bibles to think for them. It's disgusting, really. The U.S. was at the forefront of a lot of things for a long time, but now it's practically backwards compared to most other nations. I hate saying that. It goes against my love for my country. Yes well one of the questions I asked was, what exactly do you define as sexually deviant (or whatever term you wish to substitute for it). it is clear, VERY CLEAR that homosexuals are on that list. but who else, how do you define it. Do you define bestiality as going to far? Are you against any form of dominance and submission? Do you think that looking at porn is beyond the pale.

First off, those who practice bestiality are generally ostracized by the general public.

Thirdly, they aren't attacked because they have no reason to be attacked. Just because you are capable of having perfectly fulfilling sex doesn't mean those with Sexual Masochisms or Fetishism do.
