Seriously, if the chimps were taken from captivity and brought to the reserve, they probably have been raised in abusive situations which damaged their social conduct (yes, chimpanzees have one).

Chimpanzees frequently murder chimpanzees from other bands in the wild. Usually when different bands meet they just make a lot of noise (talk trash) but if say three male chimps come across a single male chimp from another band they will beat him to death. They are also fond of biting, particularly testicals. They are not very elegant fighters, but have massive strength in their arms. If someone taught chimps martial arts so they could use their strength more effectively they would dominate the K1 circuit.
