Seven billion, three hundred thirty-two million, six hundred and eight thousand, four hundred twenty-nine... make that thirty. Er, no, twenty-nine again. Now thirty-one (twins) ... thirty-two ... thirty-one again... thirty-four...

Er, what was the question?

D'uh!

The answer is "all of them."

(Unfortunately, it's not on the poll, so I won't answer that.)

Surely he said "Came to earth" rather than "Currently on earth"?

I think what he's asking is how many recordings of differant God's sons coming down have their been throughtout recorded history which I think is 200.

Well let's see... Adam, surely. Jesus. I suppose God had to create the angels, so that's quite a few right there, what with the warnings and the serenading and the guarding of Eden... I suppose the fallen angels also had to pass Earth on the way down...

Jesus told us to pray to our father in heaven.

Therefore he is either telling us to lie and call God Father or to tell the truth and do so. Since encouraging people to lie in God's name would be sinful and the Bible says Jesus is without sin, we are all God's children.

Actually, at the time he was talking only to people whose fathers were already dead, the idea being that they would pass the message on to god.

That's exactly why I asked.

In that case, it's closer to 14,627,093,582.5. Where the .5 came from, we may never know....

How very... catholic.

Don't think that's what he meant though.

Our Father
Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
On earth, as it is in heaven.

etc. etc.

Doesn't sound very literally parental to me, but I guess I could be wrong.

No, no, no. The
Our Father
Who Art in Heaven
was more of and adress, meant to placed on top so that it would get to their dad, who would then bring it to God.

As he clearly doesnt....

Becuase as we all know, the meaning of life, is "Its wafer thin."

I assume you're flaunting you're knowledge of the obscure verse in which the Sons of God come down to earth, lay with mortal women, and create the Nephelim? Anyways, the answer goes like this:

0 if God doesn't exist
1 when 'Son of God' is defined as Jesus of Nazareth.
3 (perhaps more?) when the definition is expanded to include named angels
10-15 when the definition is expanded to include angels specifically mentioned in the Bible
Way too fucking many when the definition is expanded to include all the implicit angleic visitations (1/3rd of heaven's host, the host going unnumbered, plus later visitations after the war in heaven)

So my answer is the last one - way too fucking many.

Man that ones so easy.

If we all come from God, and if indeed he is our heavenly father then the answer is - as many men and boys on the planet.

Well, here's an obscure verse.

Gen 6:1 When men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were fair; and they took to wife such of them as they chose.

Some see this as UFO's landed and mated with preman and gave man greater intelligence. Also a longing to return to outer space.

I voted for 1, but it all depends on which sons of God one is referring to. The Bible calls angels the sons of God several times and calls the ancestors of those killed in the Flood the sons of God. But the Son of God, meaning someone equal with and "part" of God? Only one: Jesus Christ.

Spare us the quasi-suspense and give us the "answer" already.
