If you could choose your middle name...

Kanabia

...what would you pick?

(Well, you technically *can* choose it, but that costs money.)

I'm thinking either Zebulon, or Megatron.

I wonder what would happen if I started writing out those on application forms and my resume. Would the evil government fine me? Hmm. It'd be kind-of cool to get mail addressed to a "Megatron", though.

As a side-note, what *is* your middle name? Mine's Ryan. Boring, no?

While I like mine, Joshua, I'd say that if I could actually choose my own middle name, it would be Xavier, just so I could have the letter X in my initials.

I've never really liked mine. Harper. It's mum's maiden name, but I really don't like mum's side of the family. I'd rather use grandmum's maiden name (Daddy's mum), Behrends. They were going to give me the middle name Behrends had I been a boy, so I don't understand why I can't do it now :/...

A lot of places, I just go by the pseudonym Alice Behrends because it's my nickname and my favoured middle name thrown together all at once :D!

But if I got to pick I'd choose Marie..or something I don't know.
But it's better than having a middle name that begins with an F..especially when your last name begins with a U.

I'd probably change it to "Moe", "Bob", "Nate", or something like that. Why? Because then I would remember how to spell it.

My middle name is Eliot... Or is it Elliot? Elliott? Eliott?

Hence the cause of my confusion.

I suppose "Oh-Great-Lord-and-Master" would be a nice middle name though...

if i could choose my name it would be simply themnax. no first, last or middle. just themnax. if someone else also chose that name we could distinguish ourselves from each other by place of birth, or other embellishment. but i would not and do not, choose to name any person, place or (kind of) thing, after any other person, place or thing (other then places named after combinations of things, some of those can be pretty cool)

names would be generated by rolling roll playing dice, or some software equivelant, in ways that would come up with pronouncable, but otherwise completely random and origeonal combinations of sounds.

I was also going to be given Winston, Hamlet and Tulip, but they changed their mind at the last minute. I have a friend named Jedidiah, when we were in elementary school we called him Jed, but now he goes by Di, and also (nothing to do with it I am sure) is a tribute artist for Princess Diana (looks just like her).

I don't have a middle name, but that's cool. In my family, middle names only ever came out if you were in SERIOUS shit as a kid.

All my female cousins had the middle name Marie, so you'd hear it go off rapid-fire....

"Kristin Marie, Lisa Marie, Dina Marie, Alaina Marie, and....!"

I took Irene as a confirmation name, which is cool because Irene means peace (http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Irene). It's also cool because it's my aunt's name, with whom I am very close.

If I could choose a middle name, it would probably be Alexandra or Katherine, as I like them both.

As a side-note, what *is* your middle name? Mine's Ryan. Boring, no?

Are you serious about the Megatron thing? Cause, that would not be "kind-of cool"-it would be TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! Not sure if the evil government would charge you any differently for changing your name to either of those 2 you mentioned, though. I know of a guy who legally changed his name to Optimus Prime, never met him personally though. By the way, did you mean Nebulon, or are you just playing with words, since there was a race called the Nebulons in 1 or 2 of the TF universes? Also, which is your favorite Megs? G1, Beast Wars, Dreamwave, etc.(sorry, had to ask, since you mentioned it:p)? Back on to the actual subject, my middle name is Rose. I've never really thought of changing it because of 3 things: 1. It simply goes well with my first name(Linda). 2. How many people do you know with that as either their first or second name(I knew 1 who's last name was Rose)? 3. It's the shortened version of my Grandma's first name(Rosena), and (especially) since I liked her, I'd feel bad for changing it.

Thats my grandmas name, though it might be short for Rosemary come to think of it.
Coincidentally, it's also the name of a pornstar.:eek:

Apparently not, as I was confirmed long after Vatican II.

I'm sure you realize this, but that isn't very specific, especially given the nature of Chinese.:)

"Xi". The character means "stream" in Chinese, but is also homonyms with the characters for western and happiness.

See, that's what I meant by the nature of Chinese. :D I don't speak Chinese at all, but I am familiar with the notion that it's subtle nuances can drastically alter the meaning of a word. It's really rather intimidating.
Out of curiosity, how would you say "The universe is infinite."?

I thank you much.:fluffle: Now on to the matter of pronunciation.:) I'm afraid I doubt my skills with phonetic Chinese. With phonetic Japanese, I'm practically a master, for someone who doesn't speak the language, but not Chinese.

My first name is a kind of James I think... "Jonas". But I'm usually called Uncle Jay by familyJonas is a much better name than James.
That explains your NS name, it's an anagram of your first name.

At the risk of sounding dumb, who was she(as in, what's she been in)? Her name sounds vaguely familiar.... But then again, my memory isn't the greatest, so chances are, I really don't have any idea who she is or what she's been in.:confused:She on the soon-to-be-ending Charmed and she was in Scream, as well as the other movies that have been mentioned. She was also in the most recent made-for-TV movie about Elvis.

...what would you pick?

(Well, you technically *can* choose it, but that costs money.)
Most US states have no laws regarding what you list as your middle name.

yu zhou shi wu xian de.

yu zhou = universe
shi = is
wu xian de = infinite.

yu3 zhou4 shi4 wu2 xian4 de0.

That helps only if you're familiar with pinyin.

Literal translation:

yu = cosmos
zhou = can't describe, same as above I guess
shi = is
wu = no
xian = border
de = just a character you add to the adjective to show that it's describing the preceding noun. Weirdness, eh?
