Actully, Hitler had more than 12million people put to death in the concentration camps, it's only a very conservative estimate. Mind you, you've got to admire the Nazi genocide. I think everyone will agree that it was a marvellous example of planning, co-ordination and execution (no pun intended).

I was hoping that Papa Doc might get a mention, if only because he is the only autocratic badass I know of to be nearly overthrown when he was invaded by a wopping 8 man (many of whom were, in fact, police men from Dade County, Florida) army. That and the voodoo thing, PD was just crazy.

You're absolutely right. At least about it being biased with a blatent anti-Israeli slant and Sharon not belonging in any way in this test.

When you take the test, and get Sharon, a little disclaimer pops up at the bottom too:

Do we have Sharon and Hitler being equal and valid options in a "genocidal maniac" poll? It sounds like we have a comparison of an Israeli leader with a Nazi leader then, and thus, according to the US State Dept., demonstrates an anti-Semitic bias rather than legitimate criticism as the author claims.

Another example of anti-Semitism, not legitimate anti-Israeli or anti-Zionist criticism in the State Dept's Report on Global Anti-Semitism is this:

“The mainstream media [in Greece] often use the terms "genocide" and "Holocaust" to describe the situation in Israel and the West Bank/Gaza, drawing a parallel with Nazi Germany. The press and public often do not clearly distinguish between Israeli policies and Jews.”

So according to the US State Dept, accusing Israel of "genocide" is anti-Semitic. And this is exactly what this test does; it calls Sharon a "genocidal maniac."

People need to wake up and become more aware of the new forms of anti-Semitism so that we aren't justifying the new anti-Semitism under the guise of legitimate political criticism. Yes, there is legitimate criticism of Israel. However, tests like this are examples of thinly veiled anti-Semitism, as the State Dept has proven.

The US state departament hasn't proved anything in along time. And if you hadn't noticed the american administration supports the current situation in the Near East, despite of the public posturing that would moronically state otherwise. The fact that our government is driven by genocidal psycopaths doesn't mean all Israelis support them or think that, pin-point trials, which is what assassinations of Hamas political leaders are called by government officials, and by politicians, perceived to be moderate, like Shimon Peres. The Shoa is over, it has been for half a century. Jews have no more or less rights than anyone else. I don't see the Poles still complaining about what was done to them by Germans and Russians.
