McKay Of SG Atlantis

The Coral Islands

Hi, all!

I am on a break between semesters at the university, and visiting my folks, who own a televison (And got cable as soon as we kids moved out). While here I have been watching Stargate Atlantis, a new show for me (Just about anything would be, seeing as I tend not to watch television at school).

I was just wondering if Rodney McKay ever mentions from where in Canada he hails. I have my own suspicions, and I wanted to know if the show's writers agree with me.

Thanks for the help!

Yes, I know that...

I realise that he is from Canada, I was just wondering if he ever said which province or town. It is a rather large country, after all, and most real-life Canadians tend to draw a distinction over their home province. Judging by his name I would predict that McKay is from mine (Of course), and I wanted to see if there was any canon evidence of it.

P.S.: As far as I am concerned, he has ZPM pronounced the right way, and it is those silly American Stargate-ers who have if off :-P

Oddly I don't think any of the characters ever really discuss where they're from. We know O'Neill is from Wisconsin, but he never says where exactly.

McKay is my favorite character on that series, he's so unabashedly arrogant it's endearing.

Stargate SG-1 is much better. Watch that.

Got seasons 1-8 on DVD here on my desk. I've watched it, repeatedly. I watch both.

I don't think they ever said (though Saskatoon, Saskatchewan sticks in my mind, I can't say for sure it's from the show or a fan site), but David Hewlett is from the Toronto region, so maybe Rodney is too.
