Live action or animation, short films usually promise an interesting/funny story. Back when TechTV was TechTV, they had a whole show dedicated to animation shorts, some were sad, some were funny, and others were plain silly - but they were all great.
List your favorite short film, while Pixar's "One Man Band" looks promising, I will have to go with "Spin" by Double Edge Films as one of the most kick ass shorts ever. You havn't seen it yet, you must watch it.
