Dammit no, this isn't about baseball.
Yesterday, Chinese President, Hu Jintao was heckled (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060421/ap_on_go_pr_wh/hu_protester;_ylt=Ag2Q_t6oEd8kxz3r7tdbxcSyFz4D;_ylu=X3oDMTA5aHJvMDdwBHNlYwN5bmNhdA--)by a woman that wanted to bring up Chinese human rights violations. Of course, that sort of thing doesn't happen in China, so Mr. Hu was a little surprised at the outburst. The woman was removed and charged.
The Secret Service identified the protester as Wenyi Wang, 47. Secret Service spokesman Jim Mackin said she had been charged with disorderly conduct and that a charge of intimidating or disrupting foreign officials also was being considered.
I'm not so upset at the disorderly conduct charge. It does sound like that was the case. But what business do we have censoring what foreign officials hear when they are in this country?

Yes. We're quite busy enough censoring what our own officials (http://www.internetweekly.org/2004/10/cartoon_bush_bubble_boy.html) get to hear.

I don't think we have any business telling people to 'shut up' when foreign dignitaries are around. Hu Jintao needs to see what it's like where people of Chinese origin can give him flak.
Propriety and safety of visiting dignitaries is important of course, but freedom of expression should not be curtailed.

Nobody has stopped the legitimate protests.
This woman seems to have posed as a reporter (temporary credentials, says the article) to disrupt a formal event (the welcoming ceremony on the White House lawn... which is not normally a 'protest' ground).

President Hu meets President Huh...
It seems that they do have quite a bit in common.

Glad to see that all the curbs on civil liberties has created a state where a random woman can easily get within spitting distance of a visiting foreign head of state.

Actually, I think Bush was more embarrassed about this than Hu was. The woman got past Bush's uber tight security after all. Hu couldn't care less about the protests; he's been through much worse.
