I think he's just being modest. There's no way Brazil can enter the cup as anything but favourites. Not to mention Germany being utterly hopeless now; I have difficulty seeing them get past the group stage.

Meh, considering the group Germany is up against, yes, they will get through.
After that it'll be bad for my nerves.

Poland, Costa Rica and Ecuador. Not exactly terrible countries.
I'm tipping Poland and Ecuador to get through. Maybe Germany will if they're lucky.

Poland will, they're pretty good. Ecuador not so much...they've been banking mainly on altitude at their home games. Other teams couldn't cope, and that was how they beat them.
And besides, Germany just beat the US 4:1 not too long ago. Albeit after being thrashed 4:1 by Italy.

Poland are about as good as New Zealand but this is an NZED playing out of its skins.-Which isn't often because noone wants to play us.:(
Yeah the U.S.A. played an understrength team though-Which is saying something.
Australia will surprise.

And I wish Australia all the best, really. But their group is not easy. They need to make that first game against Japan count.

By the way...what does everyone think of the decision to drop Kahn for Lehmann as goalie?
I'm thinking it might be a good idea. Kahn is old. Complacent.
Lehmann has been waiting for this for years. He's Arsenal's goalie, which is a very good team playing top football (the same can't necessarily be said for Bayern in recent years). And he's got a lot to prove.
