Im playing 7 on 7 flag football.. does anyone here have any strategy or advice they'd like to share?

Here are the rules:

7 on 7
Moving screens and blocks allowed but no contact
20 yards for a 1st down, 5th down= turnover , no punts or FGs
80 yard field

Is it normal flag football rules?
No stiff arms/"flag guarding", no bootlegs unless rushed, etc?

If so, I'd say throw the ball 90% of the time. Unless you have a very agile runner, rushing the ball is ineffective in most games. Once you get the ball via pass, always use spins to dodge flag grabs. It is much more difficult to grab a flag that moves in two directions (left to right plus forward) as opposed to one (forward). Get the ball to quick, small players and let them speed by the first few defenders with spins and jukes. Shortness can be exploited easily, it is tough to reach down and grab a moving flag (especially when bringing in the spin move) so small players can rule the field, assuming they can catch a pass without having it snatched out of the air by larger players.

Rules are exactly what you said except QB can run whenever he wants

Flag football...my strategy would be to just pull the flag of the guy with the ball. Simplicity is key.

I think he meant on offense. As you demonstrated, defense is fairly simple.

Back on topic:
If the QB can run at any time I would say have your fastest, most agile player be QB even if he can't throw that well. Just the threat that he might take off is enough to keep probably two defenders on him. Then spread the field and find the open man.
