If you really don't need those things, would you mind sending them to me?

I like eBay because I can get original pressings of records in great condition for next to nothing.

I don't bid on things, though. I always use the "buy it now" feature.

I find that although ebay often has cool and random things that would be hard to get somewhere else they are never needed. Since I never have any spare money there is really no point for me to look at it. There are no necessities on ebay.

I find I must only look at specific things I'm going to buy somewhere anyway. Then I put in one bid. Then don't return until I get a win or lose e-mail. If I lose, I put in one bid on a similiar item.

Ebay is great for rare albums and computer games...getting off my fat arse and going to a shop doesn't help me much with those.

do you bid over the "buy now" price? cuz then you know you've got a problem! with competetiveness/maths/common sense.

I hate eBay because they screwed over a friend of mine who was doing well by selling merchandise on there. They thought she was making too much money in one month, so they froze her eBay account and her PayPal account, even though she was playing by the book.

Or maybe, that was done at the request of the taxation authorities?

I mostly sell on ebay, I almost had to report someone for non-payment this week though, it took him 2 1/2 weeks to send me payment  I recieved it yesterday though and shipped out his stuff, I am trying to figure out exactly what type of feedback I will leave on him.

You'd like me then. I pay within 1 to 3 days (always using PayPal) - 100% record so far.

ah, I don't accept paypal.

I do money orders only.
Another auction I was running ended the same day, and I recieved payment from that buyer the 2nd day, I expect it within 5 days (since they have to snail mail it to me) 2 1/2 weeks is way too long for anyone (esp. since his envelope was postmarked the day before I recieved it)

Hehe, I avoid money orders. TOO expensive in Australia as I try to minimize my transaction costs so I can bid more.

You'll run into me if you start selling medieval or Australian or Dutch coins.

10 cents? More like few dollars here. I do try to keep postage + transaction to under $US 5.00 ($AUS 7.50)

yeah, at the gas station it's 10 cents up to $5,000 on a money order. I get free ones at my bank because I have an account. I don't even like to pay with paypal, they screwed up my account last year. They were supposed to deposit payment, but instead they took payment out, and caused me to overdraft then they marked my account as writing a hot check which took me 2 weeks to remedy in the mean time I couldn't write any checks or use my visa debit, then when they finally did fix it, they tried to get out of paying the overdraft charge:headbang:

I love ebay, when selling stuff. Those people who hate to lose keep driving up the price and end up paying way more than what the item is worth or even what I was hoping to get. Gods bless you folks who hate to lose. That's extra money for the beach and for another bottle of wine.

They refused to say, aside from the fact that they thought she was scamming the people who were buying the cameras from her. The people she sold to, had come to her defense, saying they got their orders, but eBay refused to listen to them; they even refused to listen to them when there was evidence.

There was nothing about taxation authortities.

eBAY took over PayPal and well, had to go correct a few legal problems with the system. Money Orders here are too expensive - no 10c or free ones. I'd use one if the item price was proportionally correct.

OK, it has a preamp valve and the rest is transistors, which explains the high wattage. *turns up nose*

(mine is all-valve... :p )

The only problem I've had. I bought some earrings for Mother's Day, paid in 10 minutes. It took 3 weeks to ship. I gave the guy POS but mentioned the shipping time. He gave me Neutral because I had "complained". Never agian will I give feedback as a buyer until the sender gives me feedback. All the seller should complain about is "did they get paid or didn't they". They should feedback first.
