Whatever trips yer trigger, dude. But that's only during the tourist season. Off-season, the prices are lower and there's no minimum occupancy. :)

I almost signed a contract for a beautiful house in The Glen at Tammiment-Bushkill, but it turns out, there is a gang violence problem nearby.

I have a deposit on a new construction with a lot of property in Milford,Pa.

Not pictured:

- 1970s-era tireless, rusted-out car up on cinder blocks
- Toothless owners: mom, dad and 7 kids
- Raccoons have since taken over... pics on the site are 17 years old.

i dunno eut, if this is the area you want to vacation in then i guess its nice enough. as a destination in itself, it seems lacking in something.

it probably means ive read way too many "cowboy and indian" magazines with their photos of fabulous cabins but it just doesnt scream "romantic getaway" to me. unless, as i said, the great part is being in the smokey mountains and not the accomodations.

for me, a the romance of a cabin like that would be utterly dependant on the setting. they dont show photos of the view from the porch so there is no way to know if its a fabulous location or a dreary overlook of the road.

so, if you are thinking of taking it, you need to bring props. lots of candles, a nice cuddly quilt for snuggling in front of the fire, champagne, flowers, great music. the kind of stuff that warms a place up.
