It's really a very simple question. How many of you have ever wiped out on fresh gravel because it was fresh? E.G. You've driven X road a hundred times, but the fresh gravel caused you to wipe out.

yep, narrowly missed a speeding logging truck while doing it. i had to pull over and lie down at the side of the road to recover. nearly pooed myself with fright. :eek:
actually just read the OP and i don't really qualify, i'd never driven the road before, but the gravel was fairly fresh.

Not really random... I just wiped out on some fresh gravel that I didn't know was fresh. It just *seems* random.
Uh huh. Fell into a ditch with the van on its side, too. My parents were scared out of their wits, but the van was just fine, actually. Not even a small dent from falling over. Amazing, really.

One time washed and waxed a motorcycle I use to own. I was really proud of the job I did on it and decided to drive it around the neighborhood for awhile. I went around the block, hit a patch of loose gravel just around the corner from my house, the bike slid out from under me and then tossed me off to the right. I broke my collarbone and two ribs. :(

I've come off my bicycle heaps of times on fresh gravel. In the car, I've almost had an accident because of it, but it was on a road I'd never driven before.

i used to work on a golf course and we were repaving the cart path, so there was alot of gravel on one particular spot. so, me and my fellow golf course maintenace employee decide to drive the cart as fast as it can go then fish tail the corner. it was the best fun i have ever had with at work! :p

I was once sitting in the back of an old land rover as we sped along we seemed to of come across some fresh gravel needless to say I woke up in some bushes with a nasty bruise and some thorns in my ass
