Discuss this wonderful topic which is largely theoretical! I myself have quite a large book collection about psychology in my room. I find it to be quite an amazing and fun topic. In fact, I want to major in it during college. No idea why I like it so much. It just seems so interesting.

I wonder what psych has to say about you starting a thread about a topic without you narrowing thattopic enough to make the topic discussable.

Psychology is an easily discussable topic. You just need very basic understanding of it. I'm sure all of us have had basic contact with psychology, even if it be through the lies of Hollywood.

Sure it is. Chairs is also an easily discussable topic, but if you just say "Let's talk about chairs!" nobody is going to know what about chairs to talk about.

Hannibal Lecter was my favorite fictional Hollywood psychologist.

I majored in psychology and can tell you that there is much more to psychology than one can learn in a single intro class or from Hollywood. But I think every university student should take at least a couple of psych courses in areas of interest. Becoming acquainted with the scientific evidence for who we are, what we do and why we do it is very rewarding!

I too am thinking that Psychology is a wonderful topic for the discussing. Thank you for bringing it up. It is very important and interesting.
