When was this criticism of Bush originally broadcast?

Where the hell was I when this (http://www.gkko.com/videos/2713/man-criticizes-bush) happened? I mean, after this I'd've expected to see it in a headline somewhere, anywhere... "Bush Confronted by Average Citizen on Televised Broadcast", or somesuch - I guess the big bad old media isn't out after El Presidente's blood to even one-tenth the extent the cheerleaders here'd have us all think.
Anybody?
I have seen it on Romanian tv a couple of days ago. Perhaps a week. In any case, the day that was aired over here was the day it happened, or the day just after it happened.

I'm still rather taken aback that this exchange didn't seem to break the surface of the American media's deep Bush pool. Granted, this fellow might not have been as well-spoken as we all might have wished him to be, but the pressure of the cameras, let alone the studio audience, are difficult to surmount for most people.
Whoever that guy was, good on him.

Wow, he has nerves of steel to stand up and say that. Good for him. Luckily Bush had the scripted answers ready.
It's funny how the privately owned US media acts like more of a government poodle than the government owned BBC does in the UK. In that case you have Blair having to defend himself on TV in the face of audience questions virtually on a fortnightly basis.

You know someone's going to post something here anytime about how "liberal" the media "is" ... and then they'll proceed to try and argue about how we've been fed that attitude all along ... in direct contradiction to the nature of this post and many things in reality ... ;)

Bah! Bush handled him magnificently. That guy asking the questions was nervous and shifty looking anyway, he even needed our godly president's help to finish whatever it was he was saying. (In that fake piece of CNN photoshoppery).

It's a secret kung-fu pyramid meant to bring the end of the shaolin order. Ted Turner is in league with the white eyebrow clan - better known as the Red Chinese.
Self explanatory really.

Bush responded to one point and then lied in his response... Good job, Bush!
How the hell could that be photoshopped? Looked far too realistic to me. Had the voices down pat and everything. Frankly, I don't think anyone short of Industrial Light and fjorking MAGIC could have faked that. And someone said it was on Romanian T.V. Unless the Romanians are idiots, that was real.
And I don't see why anyone should come in denouncing anyone who finds that both amusing and applause worthy as a "liberal." Hell, I'm just as conservative as Eut, Corny, or Myrm but you won't see me yelling at anyone.
...
Actually, by all normal logic I'm a full-blown liberal myself. Liberal on both social AND economic issues. It's only in the U.S. I'd be called conservative, and only because of my economic standpoint(along with a few things, like my stance on gun control) to boot.

I think that no matter how well-organized one might be in their thoughts going in to a televised event complete with studio audience, once the cameras are trained on you, all bets are off. I think that for an average person operating without cue-cards, he acquitted himself well, overall.

Actually, I think that the real story is why this is the first time Bush has bothered to face criticism. Most of the time, he pre-screens his crowds to keep riffraff like this guy out; why exactly was that allowed to happen when he's just as much my president as he is some millionaire businessman.

If by riffraff you mean people that don't agree with him, then yes. I had this same conversation with my stepdad last night, about how the crowds are usually screened beforehand, and why Bush and friends allowed this to happen.

Oh, no real insight. Just wondering why this crowd was not screened as the crowds for his other press conferences are. Or at least not screened as thoroughly. It's not that I believe there's any particularly important reason behind it.
I just wish stuff like this would happen more often.

Words out about the pre-screening so nobody was taking he talks too seriously. They figured why not let him handle himself so they can see he is a leader.
Meh! is my response.
Though I have to admit the "I'm not your favorite guy; go ahead" comment made me chuckle.
