See, this is the kind of thing that happens when it's only Paul and Ringo left...

Okay, I did a key word search and have been a few pages in so I don't think this has been covered, forgiveness if it has.

There's a new Beatles album culled from unreleased material coming that's going to be used for, wait for it, a circus (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4905630.stm)
Unreleased Beatles tracks are to be reworked for a Las Vegas circus show soundtrack, with an accompanying album reported to be lined up for release.
Now granted, it's not 'just' a circus (depending on your opinion of it), it's Cirque de Soliel...but still...

My interest in things Beatle-ish fell off the radar after George kicked the bucket.

That's just...sad. The things we do to our deceased artists is shameful at times. There's a new book of Elizabeth Bishop poems coming out (or it has recently been released). Now she's been dead for 27 years--the poems being released are poems she never published, and in one case, is a poem that she had drawn lines through in her notebook. They're poems she thought were shit, but because they're hers, and she's dead, and people will buy the damn book, they're getting released. They're poems I'll bet she would have burned if she were alive to see them published.

Meh, I for one don't really like the Beatles. They're only good album is Revolver, and A Hard Day's Night. The others aren't that bad, but there's way better music (I'm looking at you, hardcore punk!)

Sadly, yes. But look on the bright side, it could have gone to an oil company or something,.

I just thought about my early plays being published, yikes...

Well, any play of mine being published right about now would be keen, but if I had that I'd hate to have my body of work dragged down by stuff I wouldn't show people now on a dare...

Didn't he blame Sony for his last trial or the failure of his last album or something stupid like that? I try to avoid news about him but sometimes stuff gets through...

I had a buddy in a hardcore band that did a cover of In My Life. He played Gilman, which was his career goal, and then they disbanded.

The shit in some of my old notebooks? Hell, my current notebooks? Good freaking lord.

We praise or greatest artists because they have enough self-knowledge to know what's good and what's shit, even in their own work.

On the other hand, we have Kafka's The Trial. We don't even know if the chapters are in the right order, but I'm glad it is published.

Look at you, about to hit the big 10K. It's been a long road, and a lot of arguments with Eutrusca. :D

I don't know if I'm more frustrated wanting to know how Amerika was supposed to end having read it or if I'd be more frustrated only knowing the portion of the book existed...

I guess knowing that I could use Sergio Leone's Stalingrad movie as a point of comparison...

Hehe...I didn't even notice. I don't know if I should be happy or depressed about what I've done with my time...(but it has been 2 1/2 years...sweet crap...)

I almost think that the 10k should be quoting a Trusci post...

Oh man, it's pretty much my favorite. I also like the Orson Welles movie staring Anthony Perkins.
